Date of Stay:
July, 2009
We stayed at the La Quinta for the Coke 400 at Daytona International Speedway. The track was about a 15 minute walk away. This was a great location for us. The room was clean as were the grounds and pool area. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and courteous. They had a free lunch time cookout for guests (hot dogs, hamburgers, chips etc.) and goodie bags for race guests in the rooms. Breakfast was limited but still good. Hotel ice machines started running low on Saturday but this happens at just about any hotel near the track on race day. Plenty of quality restaraunts along the way to the track and near the hotel. We will definitely stay there again.

we stayed here for the 4th of july and the coke zero nascar race. i must say we were pleasantly surprised. we had a fast check in & check out, the hotel was in walking distance to the track, rooms were very nice and clean, maid service everyday, inside corridors, entrance doors are locked( must use room keycard for entry), staff freindly, small pool but ok, on race day they had a free bbq poolside, overall a very nice clean hotel, i would recommend it to family and friends.

There are several reasons to stay at the La Quinta in Daytona - the price is good, breakfast (such as it is) is included, and the staff is very nice. It is not a terrible place and its location is fine if you don't need to be near the beach. There are also several reasons not to stay here. Perhaps BECAUSE it is such a good deal price-wise, it seems to attract a clientele that is not aware of appropriate hotel etiquette. Consequently it is very noisy all through the night as children run up and down halls yelling, people stand in the hallway carrying on loud conversations at 3 and 4 in the morning, doors slam all night long, etc. After two sleepless nights I called the front desk, and was asked to come to the front office to be assigned a room in another "quieter" building, but being uprooted at 2AM didn't do much for my sleep that night either, although I appreciated their immediate and friendly response to my situation. While I was in town for the week, a friend of mine drove across the state to visit and also got a room there. Unable to sleep due to rowdy and intoxicated guests, got up at 3AM and drove home. Another noise issue is that it happens to be at the end of the airport runway, but the jet noise is nothing compared to the noise the other guest made. Since I had to be in town for an entire week, I made the best of it by staying out late and wearing a noise reduction headset to bed. My only other concerns were that housekeeping was not thorough, and breakfast supplies ran out making the meager offerings even less appealing.

I have stayed 1 in Atlanta and it was alright for the money. My stay in Daytona Beach was a nice clean, quiet comfortable place. I was only there 1 night, neighborhood was ok; I did not say go take a walk, LOL! I wint to waffle house 4 am, very busy, lots of young people all types. There were street people around, welcome to the city! Was a cool trip, I would stay again for sure!

This is a great hotel. It was so clean and the service was awesome once we got there. When I was on the phone trying to book however, the woman who answered sounded a little cranky and talked to me like I was stupid. Everything else was great. I didn't get a chance to try out the pool but it looked nice. The rooms were so secure that our key didn't even work. They did issue us a new one though and even walked up to check to make sure the key would work for our room door. It was very quiet at night and during the day other than the party down the hall. It sounded like about 20 people were in there but once you walked past their room you couldn't hear it any more. I just feel bad for whoever was next to them. It is a short drive from the beach and good food. Close enough to the beach without the horrible Daytona traffic. The beds were so comfortable and clean. The rooms were very very clean and smelled nice. The bathrooms had really nice showers with adjustable settings on the showerheads. I wasn't afraid to walk barefoot or put my baby on the bed without a blanket underneath her. The internet connection was very good. I got an excellent signal without having to hunt for it. I loved that we had many outlets and a nice desk so we could charge our phones and have our laptops plugged in at the same time. This is an amazing hotel for the price we paid.

when my friend & i got off the exit to our hotel we were already pleased with what we saw with just the outside, walkable restaurants, clean grounds, & it didn't give that "all bunched up" feeling. check-in was quick & simple, the room was was very nice, while i did wonder as to why there was no stopper for the tub everything else was worth while. it was close to basically everything we needed, food, things to see places to go, & a staff that was wiling to answer our questions quick & simply. compared to the rest of our trip i would have preferred to have just stayed there the whole time.

Upon entry into to room there was a strong musty smell, it appeared carpet was dirty. Attempted to open patio door and it was locked shut. Called front desk and was informed doors were locked for insurance purposes. The first maid service an empty roll of toilet paper was not changed and coffee was not given. Wife upon check-out had a very bad score throat.

The room was very clean and had a nice, homey feeling to it. The hallways smelled like smoke. Hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Each building had a secured entry and the lobby had a free juice/coffee dispenser. The hotel overall felt very homey and inviting.

Close to Daytona speedway and Airport.Has a small pool, rooms are pretty clean.Rooms have TV, where you can order movies/music/games of your choice.Has slow wireless connection, but enough to check emails.Serves breakfasts in mornings, which I didn't like much.If you are looking for cheap hotels, just to have somewhere to sleep...Then it is a good choice.
