Was not happy at the checkin the woman who checked me and a few other guests in was slow and kept repeating that if we went thru a third party company for our booking and was unsatisfied about anything there was nothing she could do about it and to me had the additude like she really couldn't care. There should have been at least onther receptionist to help check people in would have made things run faster espesially on a weekend that there was a special event taking place. Other than my checkin experiance my stay was pleasant.

Denny's was in the parking lot & the ice machine was at my front door. Denny's in the parking lot & the ice machine was at my front door. It's located near the highway, however the area was covered with homeless people down the street. The staff presentation was very rough & reminded me of the Waffle House waitress pulling a second shift. The restroom was ridiculously cramp to use the toilet. The shower was dangerously elevated, which they had a sign to cover any accidents not funny. Foreign hair in the bedding scared the crap out of me, couldn't sleep kept wondering if my truck would end up stolen & I'd be left a foot to conduct my business. Not impressed. I have a wished I hadn't scheduled more stays for my June month. Oh Yeah, I needed to stay longer, but the woman at the counter could careless. Real snotty.

What a pleasant surprise! Will definately stay here again if in Lubbock. Have stayed in a neighboring hotel for a bigger price and didn't have the quality experienced here. Great Economy Motel!

We arrived late on Friday w/our 2 children, only to learn that room was CANCELLED! Gave conf# and were RUDELY told we no longer had room. Clerk only offered VOICEMAIL to mgr BUT not available until monday? Wonderful clerk with Marriott found great room at Best Western Palms because the Marriott itself was full. We got that room only by luck due to a late cancellation. We were not even offered so much as an apololgy from LQ! If you reserve, make sure you have a ""PLAN B""! Shame on you LaQuinta on Ave Q for such poor customer service!!!

The room we were originally assigned was never cleaned before we were assigned the room. A substitute room was given to us, however. Towels and coffee for the coffee-maker were not replaced after our first night. A very friendly housekeeper helped us on the morning of day two, however.

Wireless Internet Smelled funny - musty This hotel fit a business traveler. Just a place to lay your head. Not extravagant at all. A little old and smelled musty.

This hotel is fine and clean, staff was very good, BUT, the bathroom was so tight, the toilet door could not shut because the commode was in the way, cieling was so low, my head bounced off of it while showering. Its just so old and not well-designed from the 1960's, that it has a few inherent problems. If you just need a simple room for a short stay, this place is fine. If you need to be really comfortable with a decent pool, look elsewhere.

It was easy to get to, conveniently located to things we attended, clean, quiet, safe and very attractive. Can't think of anything. LaQuinta Convention Center was easy to find, conveniently located, attractive and comfortable. The staff was helpful, efficient, and friendly. There is a nice Denny's restaurant next door, and parking is simple.

The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. The TV was a little confusing and not a lot of channels the room was a little small. The rooms were nice. They are little smallI would definitely stay again.

This was the third time my family has stayed at this hotel and the two previously times we were roomed on the opposite side and the rooms seemed a little larger and the floor lay out was the opposite of the room we had at this visit, we liked the previous rooms better. My only other negative comment on this trip is the room with the tub/shower etc. was very small and hard to move around in. Other than that it was a very good travel experience.
