Had a great trip to Charleston, except for the hotel. We reserved a non smoking, king bed for two nights. When we got there, the staff gave us our room key...only that room had been rented by someone else, imagine our surprise when we opened the door. Got another room, but it had two double beds. Got yet another room, but the only king bed they had was in a smoking room. The staff wasn't rude, but very abrupt and seemed to have more important things to do than help us out. Will stay at another hotel if given the choice.

Recently redecorated room. Very good continental breakfast. Easy on/off I-26.

Lovely hotel but an hour by bus from downtown Charlston. The staff were very helpful and friendly which made me not mind so much about the distance from the city.

Okay, we could hardly find a parking space, the lot was that full and that small. Booked a room and was specific that it be non-smoking. Was given a smoking room that stank and someone had obviously been lounging on the bed earlier. The guys at the front desk were quick to change the room to the non-smoking handicapped room, which was great, especially considering that the hotel was filled with people. The long black hairs on the bathroom floor were not so great. Neither was the toilet seat with peeling paint. However this room was clean and no one had been chillin' out on the bed. At times during the night you will hear sirens but this being a rather sketchy end of town (it's North Charleston, you're there for the cheaper price, not the ambiance!) that's not suprising. However it is close to both the interstate and several resturaunts including a Ruby Tuesdays that literally shares a parking lot. I wouldn't call this place awesome, but it works if you need a clean room and aren't picky about how the place is decorated. The internet worked great, TV was good - ordering a movie if you paid through a third party requires you to go to the front desk and give them your credit card, but overall I would probably stay there again.

Price was too much for what little we received. Air condition would run for only a few minutes and then quit. I would not stay here again. Highway is right beside the hotel and there is not enough parking. Also, saw a giant roach right outside hotel door.

Highly Recommend LaQuinta Inn Charleston Riverview. It was a great deal for the money. Room, Pool, Breakfeast area were clean and the staff was great. It is right accross river from the downtown. Once you get familiar with the roads you'll love the access to everything. The location had a beachy atmosphere and is in a good area of town where I felt comfortable with my young kids. We stayed in Bldg. #1 beside of California Dreaming Resturaunt.

The staff was awesome with everything. The room was what you would expect, a little dusty in places but overall very clean and just what we needed for a one night stay. They should advertise that the pool is heated!!!! Would definately stay there again should the need arise!

The outside ashtrays were cleaned only once during the week and the area in front of the rooms was littered. No internet as advertised. People very friendly and good. Room (smoking) could have been nicer.

The front desk attendant was extremely rude, unprofessional, and not helpful. I would not recommend it, nor i would ever stay there again.

Booked two rooms for three days. Checked in at 2:00 AM. One room looked like it hadn't been cleaned and the sink didn't work properly. The other room smelled, so we requested another room. Replacement room still smelled, but not as bad, had a beeping smoke alarm due to a low battery, sheets that wouldn't stay on the bed, mold growing on the bathroom ceiling, and a toilet that wouldn't stop running. We slept for a few hours then went to the front desk, registered our complaints and checked out. Will be following up with corporate to attempt to get a refund for an entirely disgusting experience.

The staff was very friendly and the room was really nice for the price. It was only a 10-15 minute drive to Isle of Palms and ten to downtown Charleston. The area was really nicely set up as well with many decently priced restaurants.

I really enjoyed being able to bring my dog along on the trip. This was the only one in charleston that i could take my dog with me and not be charged a pet fee. The room was a little musty be over all it was good enough for the price we paid.

Hotel was located where I needed to go to see daughter graduate. I think the hotel is worth the price you pay, great air conditioning and clean rooms. I like the coffee makers, and iron to press your cloths. Great location, and easy to get to off the interstate.

It was not very clear when I made the reservation that the room doors opened to the outside. I never stay in a hotel where the doors to the rooms are outside! The online pics are a little misleading. The loby is very nice, but the rest of the hotel is not in comparison. The rooms were small, the bathrooms were tiny. There was light coming from the outside all the way around the door. The bed was compfortable, and the hotel was quiet. We shared our floor with around 50 service men and it was very quiet. The hotel staff was nice, and breakfast was hot and plentiful. You get what you pay for, and for what I paid I got my money's worth. I was mostly diapointed about the doors opening to the outside, I think that not very safe. If you just need a place to rest your head and plan on being out most of the time on your trip, its a cheap place to stay, just don't expect the Hilton and you won't be diappointed.

I made reservations at the La Quinta because it had internet access and was close to family and friends. The internet never worked the whole time I was there. They blamed it on a contractor. Apparently, he took the whole week off for Christmas. The room was ok considering the cost, but the room service was not good. We were coming in late, so we didn' get up until around 10. Room service never came around and I had to go to the front desk to get towels and coffee. All in all a mediocre place to stay at best.

We only had housekeeping service 1 time and they never vacummed! Wash clothes always took hours to get, due to a shortage. The front desk girl when we checked in was very helpful. The front desk gentleman in the morningswas very short with the guests.

I expected that there would be a fridge and microwave - the room was non-smoking but smelled of cigarettes, had burn stains on the bathroom counter.
