This hotel was an average hotel. The room was very hot when we arrived, but the air conditioner worked great. It was in a good location that was near to shopping and dining. The continental breakfast was not too impressive with very few items to choose from. Also, I did not see any elevators near our room, so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs.

Beds were not changed since last guest; hair and other things under sheets; coffee pot missing a part (couldn't make coffee); couldn't see through peep hole. Hotel in general disrepair.

We just needed a room close to the airport since we were arriving in California late. It was conveniently located and very quiet considering it was an airport hotel. Good choices for continental breakfast!

Great location and was pleasantly nice. No elevators. Rooms were clean and spacious. The location was great because the freeway was literally 1 minute away and there were restaurants nearby for convenience. The staff was also very helpful.

Mostly good. Room was sleepable but just not the quality I was expecting, might have been better if the carpets and upholstery where dry from being cleaned. Every thing was wet so it was damp and musty. However it was a nice motel.

Convenient to freeway. No elevators were found. Excellent for price. No complaints at all except there were no elevators. There was also hotel construction going on at the time but was not a distraction.

Hotel is close to, but requires a couple minutes to get to SJC, restaurants, tech. businesses, and convention halls. It was a pretty standard La Quinta with newly remodeled, clean rooms, a nice pool for kids, and an outstanding, liberal pet policy. The cont. breakfast was a little skosh, but it could have been that it was relatively early (6:45).

The bed was extremely comfortable, fluffy pillows and soft sheets. The fan in the bathroom was aggravatingly loud and came on automatically with the light. Located just minutes from downtown San Jose, the La Quinta is a great option for budget minded travelers who demand cleanliness and quality.

Basically, I've seen a lot of reviews that unnecessarily nit-pick this hotel to death. Yes, the shower heads could be a little higher; yes, I heard an airplane or two despite the thick double-pane glass, but honestly... who cares? It's competent, and you could do a lot worse for the money. The single thing that did bother me was the complimentary breakfast arrangement in the lobby: Stay away; it is not a pleasant experience. It was a zoo, extremely crowded, kids running everywhere, and the setup does not lend itself to efficiency. I witnessed one woman hold the line up for twenty minutes using the waffle griller to make waffles for herself and her children. Manager take note: Removing the time-intensive self-service kitchen appliances would certainly help, as well as limiting access to the area, somehow. If most of your guests are business travellers, you would do well to improve on this.

Location. Wireless Internet, staff. On Sunday, April 20, 2008 I had to find a room near the San Jose, California airport on short notice. When I arrived at the property at approximately 7:00 pm I noticed that it looked like a recent aquisition since the old sign was covered with a temporary LQ banner. I travel frequently and have never had front desk staff refuse to find the best rate they could for me, it's what helps bring customers back. I then went to my room. I had reservered what I thought was a king sized bed but when I entered it was nothing more than a previous two double bed room with one of the beds removed, not good. I then tripped over something on the floor and when I looked down I saw the carpet had numerous folds in it where it was not safely attached to the subfloor, also not good. The rest of the room was fine, including a very nicely refreshed bathroom. My next disappointment was the property Internet service. I have been an IT manager for a major hotel chain and know what it's like to manage a hospitality internet system. This system was horrible.

on the day we arrived, we found NO cups/glasses in the room. After securing our own from the kitchen, at the request of the front desk person, we found that on our second day there, again there were no cups/glasses in the room - oh well. Although it was close to the air port, we were not distubed by planes during the night. Entrance and exit to major highway 101 was within 2 blocks

Proximity to airport, silicon valley businesses. Room poorly kept, electrical outlets uncovered, coffee maker had no carafe, and internet access didn't work. There was obvious incomplete construction (open electrical outlets, paint overspray on carpets, etc). If you want internet, a restaurant or a hotel with a common area you can spend an hour in, this is not it.

Clean and efficient, large hot breakfast. Internet access was almost useless. Very sporadic and slow at best of times. Clean rooms with mismatched furniture expected for the star level. Beds are small for "Queen" and hard as a rock. Internet access is free wireless but very poor even for checking email. Overall, a decent place to stay if the price is right.

Clean andnice amenities. No bar. The rooms were spacious and clean. There were all the usual amenities; coffee pot, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, ext. And a decent complimentary breakfast. I would stay there again.

The bathroom was real clean and stocked with nice towels. The Continental breakfast wasn't kept as nice as it could have been. For the price this was a very comfortable hotel. The staff was very friendly.

Hospital for wife's surgery is less than 1/2 hour away. The motel was very comfortable and quiet. I had a wonderful breakfast (waffle, bagel with cream cheese) at the motel although my wife was not permitted to eat prior to her operation. This is definitely a much nicer place than the one we stay at nearby previously which was noisy and small.
