The staff was very accommodating. The bar is located inside the main dinning area. Very clean, cozy and romantic. It is only two blocks away from the international bridge with Mexico making it convenient to walk across the border. The room on the concierge level was spacious and clean.

I travel over 100 days per year throughout the US for buisness and I have yet to stay at a property with such a profound commitment to hospitality and customer satisfaction. I stayed for 10 nights while traveling for business in Laredo so I was exposed to all the La Posada had to offer. Honestly if you are reading this Travelocity review STOP right now and book it. Their attention to detail along with the exceptional service of the staff resignates with the smiles and commitment to each guests comfort and satisfaction. La Posadas attention to detail from the quality of the high speed wireless internet, great food from their multiple on site dining options, and how perfectly manicured and clean it was. The hardest part of writing this review is the fact that I wanted to recognize all the things that made this hotel so wonderful, but I can only post 300 words on this forum. I highly and only recommend this property if you are visiting Laredo for pleasure or business.

The flight of my family was cancelled, and the airline in compensates paid the lodging to us in the city, and the Hotel was ""La Posada"" we did'n know what to expect but it was a wonderful experience to have spent the night there

The staff practically did everything for us. There was valet, two private pools, staff around every corner; each room had separate temperature controls. The only issue we had was a left over to-go box in the refrigerator. This hotel was the best hotel we have ever stayed at in Laredo and we've stayed at almost all. Its part of history and it is very well kept up. The entrance was the only way in or out which helped to keep intruders out. It seemed to me like there were many guests but the room placement was great. We were secluded but still out in the open. The hotel overlooks the Rio grandee and the hotel has a patio in the middle of everything where the pool is located. There was an extension to the hotel and that had a pool with a great view of the sky.

I had a wonderful experience. I was there on business. Hotel has great location directly on the US/ Mexico border. I had an awsome suite and my balcony faced the Rio Grade River. Beautiful amenities. The Tack Room, one of the 3 resturants the hotel has, was amazing. The food and the service was higher quality than I expected. I had a horrible headache in the middle of the night, and the hotel drove me to a near bye grocery store to purchase my medicine! Well worth every penny!

The hotel staff is wonderful and the decor is beautiful. There was no clock radio in the room. This hotel is beautifully decorated. It has been recently remodeled and the staff treats you like a queen. I love la posada. It used to be too expensive for me to afford.

Although there is some construction going on, it is a beautiful hotel. There is secured covered parking and even a doorman. The rooms were very nice with verandahs overlooking a park. Access to the Mexican border was within two blocks.

The overall Mexican taste. Hard to access the parking lot. It is a Mexican style hotel, with balconies. It is taken place a major rebuild and the new rooms are cozy and with a very good size.

Unique and interesting in many ways. Very, very close to border - could be dangerous. I liked La Posado. For the more 'off the beaten path' traveler who likes to experience unique and charming hotels and is not intimidated by an extremely close proximity to Mexico (on the border), or does not mind being located in the City center of the Old West Laredo (that means what it implies)... then this hotel is great!

Clean room, comfortable bed and friendly staff except checkout clerk. Being charged $5 a day for parking for first time in several stays. I've stayed at this hotel several times, and I had never before been charged for parking in the hotel parking garage. When I asked the checkout clerk what other choice I had for parking, he pointed out the window and said there is metered parking out on the streets. Thanks a lot! The streets near the hotel are extremely busy and I would have had to park blocks away and gone back to feed the meter! Parking should be included in hotel's daily rate, as there is no other choice anyway.

Clean rooms, comfortable bed. Extra charge of $5 per day for parking in hotel parking garage. Had never before been charged for parking in the hotel parking garage. I mentioned this to the clerk when he charged me for parking as I checked out, but he said perhaps previous clerks had been new and did not know about the parking fee. I asked where else I could have parked, and he said there is metered parking out on the streets. Thanks a lot!! The streets around the hotel are congested and I would have had to park blocks away and gone back to feed the meter during the day! My encounter with the rude and aloof clerk at checkout ruined an otherwise pleasant stay.

I liked the location and the secured parking. The man that checked us in gave us a room that was already occupied. The hotel is beautiful. The staff gives great customer service. When I go back to Laredo I will stay there again.

Overall foyer was awesome and we noticed the rooms being renovated. The room we stayed in was old and needed updating. This hotel is located close to the border and is downtown close to all the shopping. The ambiance of the overall hotel is great! I will definitely be back to stay.

Location. Walking distance to border. Initial room location. I feel that the staff was more friendly and accommodating to Mexican guests. I was originally assigned a room in the back of the hotel which backs up to the dog kennel that houses the border guard dogs. Due to their loud barking, I requested a different room. They brought a key to a different room, but didn't bother to tell me where it was located nor did they offer to help me move my things. The second room was good with no barking dog issues. Basically, I feel that the hotel is overpriced probably because there is limited competition in this type of hotel. Their restaurants' food is mediocre and fairly expensive. E.g. Lunch buffet was $15.00. There are several nicer hotels across the border in Nuevo Laredo, but I didn't want to go across the border with the amount of drug problems they are having. I will probably search for a different hotel next trip.

Loved the renovations, mattresses, lots of pillows on bed. Can't think of anything. Having stayed at La Posada several times in the past few years, I was wonderfully surprised to see the new renovations which were long overdue. The grounds are beautiful, the lobby welcoming and the newly renovated room was tastefully furnished. The mattresses must be new and we loved the extra pillows that were already on the beds. We didn't have to ask for extra pillows or towels.

Ambiance and quality of food. Small rooms with no king beds. The hotel is very nice. We stay there often and this consistently happens.

Customer service was excellent, attentive and hospitable. The bath tub, TV needed repair. the bed frames seem like it had mildew or something. Overall, I did enjoy my stay. The hotel is being remodeled. I would recommend that the hotel would provide a floor plan of where construction is taking place, for safety purposes and it paints a better memory picture of your stay. Instead of the muggy mildew scent. Housekeeping was very hospitable. Room service was on time and tasting. Thank you for my stay.

Traditional Mexican architecture and surroundings. Not up to4 star standards. In the middle of extensive renovation which leaves it noisy and messy. Not up to 4 star standards. In the middle of extensive renovation which leaves it noisy and messy. Grand old Mexican style hotel in the historic section of Laredo. Extensive renovations going made the environment less than enjoyable. Walking distance from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, which has received extensive news coverage for its control by drug lords. Safety of the surrounding area is a big concern.
