La Peñita Apartments are located just across the road from a small sandy bay and only 800 metres from the main beach of Puerto del Carmen and there is a good selection of bars and restaurants just outside the apartments. The complex is situated only 10 minutes (with car) from the capital Arrecife and 20 minutes (with car) from the National Park of Timanfaya, the most interesting place on the island. At about 40-45 min drive there is the North zone of the island where there are the Jameos del Agua, Cueva de los Verdes and Mirador del Rio.
