La Mariposa Hotel Alhama De Murcia

At the foot of the hills of the Sierra Espuña -one of the Spanish National Parks-, in the village of Gebas, we found the remains of an old farmstead.
La Casa del Estanco was originally also a sales outlet for tobacco and groceries; now we have converted the farm into a small country hotel.
Hospederia La Mariposa is an ideal base for short or long holidays, especially for those people who love unspoilt nature, hiking and other sport activities.
In an authentic Spanish atmosphere you may enjoy all modern facilities that will ensure your comfort and, of course an unprecedented, beneficial peacefulness.
The rooms are built around a terrace; here you can enjoy a Mediterranean meal with a splendid view of the valley and the "Barrancos" of Gebas. You may also use the common lounge, complete with a small bar and fireplace. Throughout the house you will find a permanent exhibition of paintings.
Guests have access to our big garden from which they have a wonderful view of the valley. On one of the terraces there is a swimming pool with a special children's playpool. Of course there are both shade and sun terraces. The garden and swimming pool are also wheelchair accessible.
There is a small gym available, we hire mountain bikes and quad bikes, either guided or unguided, there are maps and guide books available for walkers and climbers.
A truly great place to stay whether its relaxing or activity....no place better!

Set 410 metres above sea level on the very edge of the Sierra espuna nature park to the front of the hotel and the Barrancos de Gebas (Badlands) to the rear of the hotel. Huge amount of wildlife including wild boar, mouflon and eagles.
