Staffs are friendly, room was with 2 king beds and enough space. Breakfast was included with a lot of fruits and very good in starting a day schedule. Rooms were everyday cleaned while we're having breakfast, and very well organized. Not many Restaurants around the area were open during lunch time, but there is a convenient small supermarket.

We have stayed on the French side for years. The L'Hoste is the perfect place to stay. It is clean and SAFE and is affordable. This place is literally on Orient Beach. (In the Middle) There are all sorts of great dining places within walking distance. Shopping as well. The Employees are so friendly you feel like family. Rental cars on property. What a place. Great pool and great free breakfast. We have stayed elsewhere but this is the best.

We have stayed in several different locations on St Maartin and the staff here were wonderful nd very helpful. The extra large room was great value for money. Would certainly recommend this.

Nice, quiet and right on the beach. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance but they are expensive and they don't give a very good exchange rate around the hotel. I would recommend Grand Case for dinner, it's close and you can get one to one on the exchange rate. If you go south in to the Dutch side you will find larger food stores for snacks, beverages and groceries and the exchange rate is a lot better. Rental car is worth the money especially if you want to see the whole island.

L'Hoste Hotel was very convenient to Orient Beach. Our room was also very spacious. The staff was very accommodating and helpful with all our needs as well as providing good information on nearby excursions. If traveling from the U.S., it would be wise to bring electrical outlet converters as the outlets are European. The hotel did let us borrow electrical converters from them, however.

I came here for a solo beach vacation and I couldn't have been happier. Staff was nice an accommodating, The beach was close and the 'village' next door was convenient to walk to every night to grab a pizza or salad at the store, or a drink and dinner. There was a parking lot which was nice, and an exercise room that looked like no one had been in there. Do not expect this to be like the Dutch side where there are casinos and lots of shops. There are other hotels around but it is much quieter.

We recently stayed at L'Hoste hotel for 10 days. This was our second stay at L'Hoste. Everything was perfect. We stayed in the Bamboo Junior Suite - second floor - it was beautiful. Entire staff was friendly and helpful. We definitely would return to St. Martin and stay at L'Hoste. Went to Pinel Island, a MUST. It is like being in paradise. There is a kitchenette in hotel room and a small store nearby. Don't expect lots of night life - but there is a square and several nights there was live entertainment. Also, a few really good restaurants in the square. I would recommend this hotel for a romantic get away.

L'Hoste is a relaxing no "frills" hotel. The hotel staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast that was included was great. It's great for a short visit. For a longer visit a car rental is a necessity. Rooms are comfortable and clean and it's located on a great part of the beach. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

We spent our 25th wedding anniversary at this lovely hotel. Nothing fancy but the location and proximity (EASY walking distance) to food/snack stores and restaurants far outweighed any concerns about the room. There is a beach bar and beach directly behind the hotel. If you want to be served lunch at your beach chair, NO PROBLEM! Very friendly staff both at the hotel and the beach. Also, many other bars as well as beach activities on Orient Beach. This location is right in the middle of Orient. If you want to relax, chill out, this is the place for you!

A wonderful boutique hotel. Pleasant and helpful staff. Just off the beach and near all the amenities you would want. A very relaxing get away location. This is a resort but is vastly different from one of those large facilities whereby there is always a hustle and bustle atmosphere. Do with your time what you want in a calm relaxing manner.

"it was nothing fancy for sure. a bit untidy..........like staying in an old holiday inn now owned by comfort inn!! the closeness to the beach, the continental breakfast w/ take out for lunch, the small shopping mall w/ a few wonderful restaurants and a grocery store and the beach were all highlites."
