The Kyoto has quick access to all of Los Angeles.

Loved the beds, nice white clean fresh. Parking, guest should not have to pay.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is near to Down town LA and in the middle of Little Tokyo where food and shopping etc are within easy reach. It was quiet and peaceful as we stayed there during the low season.

I didn't enjoy my stay at the Kyoto Grand. For one I had previusly stayed at this hotel but since they changed their name in December I wasen't aware that I was booking the same hotel. Second of all, parking is $24 a night and our phone didn't work so we couldn't even order room service.

We got there early 11am, The Rep at front desk didn't know how to look up our reservation and said she couldn't find my name in the system. She made me go to the business center to print out my reservation. Then she found it after 30 mins, There were no other front desk employees so there was a long line of angry grumpy customers waiting to check out. She Promised to have a room by 12pm, didn't happen, waited another two hours, gave us a basic room when we paid extra on our reservation for an upgrd room. Called front desk for a room changed and were told to wait another 2 hours for the correct room. Finally got our room at 4pm..We wasted a whole day because employees were not properly trained and there were no apology for all the lost time caused. The hallway towards the elevators to our room stinks, smelled like someone didn't flush after a #2 whenever we exit the elevators. Parking was horrible, it was really limited and it was additional 24 daily, The room did not come with free internet access even though it was an upgraded room. There are no pools in this hotel, fitness center did not include a bathroom to freshen up after your work out. The maid never clean our room when we displayed the housekeeping sign on the door. This hotel does not deserve to have any stars. I must say it was the worst hotel I ever stayed at in LA. We visit LA at least 5 times a year. This is our 1st and last stay at this Hotel. Dont waste your money. Seriously.

booked a handicap 'suite' and was shown to a five foot by twelve foot hole with a bed in it. furniture was missing handles, stains in carpet sheets and bedcovers. bathroom so small the door cannot be opened if a person is in the bathroom. definitely not a handicapped suite. was moved to another room on the 21st floor, and had a similar experience, except it was larger (not by much). fridge did not work, air conditioning on full blast from the moment we got in to the moment we left, and room never got below 88 degrees. very used furniture and bedding, stained towels and hairs in bathroom. Charges $30 per night for valet where there is only 1 employee, and it takes about an hour and a half to have your car brought up. Definitely opt for the self parking ( though even this is $24 per night). garden is beautiful, but almost always booked for a 'private party' so don't expect to actually walk around in it. overall? total waste of money. have had better service and rooms at the motel 6.

Convenient to Dodger Stadium. Staff could have been more efficient when checking in.

Our experience at this hotel was delightful. The decor was lovely, the room was spacious and clean, and the staff was very pleasant. The large roof garden on the main buliding was very attractively done, and it was great to have a pretty outdoor area that was so physically removed from the street ambiance. This hotel is right in Little Tokyo, and the area looks a little seedy on first glance, but hosts a great variety of excellent sushi dives and hole-in-the-wall restaurants and shops if you feel a little adventurous. Of course there was no need to leave the hotel. The multiple restaurants and good room service menu were perfect for a romantic getaway. In particular, the Thousand Cranes restaurant on premises was truly first rate, with just exceptional food quality, presentation, and service. It is clearly set up to please the most discerning visiting Japanese businessmen, who know quality Japanese food, yet the prices were not astronomical. All in all a fabulous vacation for a better-than-fair price.

First of all I requested a non-smoking room, when I arrived to check in the room was not ready so I had to wait, then when I got into my room I realized it was a smoking room. The room reaked of smoke. There was a huge dirty wet spot on the floor by the bed which I stepped in, not sure if it was spilled wine or blood, either way it was gross. I would have requested another room, but I was running late for a business meeting already so I just had time to drop my bags change and get to my meeting. I arrived back at the hotel around 11pm so I just decided to stay with that room. The beds were awful! Scratchy pillows, very hard bed and it was noisy. You can hear everything outside your door. It's like sleeping with your door wide open. The bathrooms were not very nice. Very dated, not what you'd expect in a 3 star hotel. The bathroom faucets are gross and it's difficult to adjust the water temp. I've stayed in Motel 6's that were nicer then this place. The room service prices were ridiculous especially for the quality of the food. I ordered the breakfast and not only did they not get my order right, you get better food at denny's and you don't pay 36 for it. I would not recommend this hotel. on a positive not the staff was friendly. The bartender in the front lobby lounge was good too.

I can not beleive that for the price we paid for the hotel that breakfast was not a complimentary part of the package. the hotel was beautiful, but next time I will stay at the Wilshire or the Sheraton hotel because they do give the breakfast.

It was in little Tokyo. No waste basket in the bathroom, no convenient freeWiFi area. If you're looking for a place to sleep in relative comfort, and nothing more, look no further. This hotel was completely unremarkable. It was not a bad hotel nor a bad stay but it was indistinguishable and lacked any memorable features. For a hotel with Kyoto in its title, I expected it to have some characteristics of Japan, which it did not.

good location near little tokyo where you can have access to excellent japanese food, esp shabu shabu and late night access to food. only snag is having to pay for internet access and expensive parking - i have to pay US$24 for one night parking.

Front desk was friendly. Rooms were clean and provided good amenities. Only downside is early closing for bar/restaurants.

This was a fabulous hotel, especially considering the rate we got. The rooms were spotless and very elegantly furnished and decorated. The beds were the best part - feather beds, down comforter, and down pillows - the perfect end after a night on the town! I would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again.

Convenient location and proximity to favorite restaurants and dining locations. Loud music and parties from garden area till late at night. There were loud parties held in the garden area just outside the room till late at night on 3 of the 4 nights we were there. Parking fees while less than some other downtown hotels, was still rather high at $24 per night to self park.

Hotel was fine though parking expensive and location not the best. However would stay there again if in LA.

please clean the bathroom floor. there is BLACK MILDEW in the grout and all it would take is some bleach and a mop. also, the shower goes hot/cold constantly (i heard other people talking about it in the elevator, so it wasn't just our room) and we were inexplicably given a corner room that had virtually no usuable space and a tiny bathroom - inexplicable because my fiance is 6'4"". the bartender who made us a pineapple-coconut mojito was GREAT and self-parking is the key to quick exits. i would not stay again, however, because a dirty bathroom floor is a deal-killer.

The hotel is very comfortable, and accessible to the Music Center and downtown LA. Little Tokyo has its own attractions as well.

Fair cost. High price parking fee, room size (small).
