Kushiro City is located on the southeast side of Hokkaido, facing Pacific Ocean. Also Port of Kushiro is the main port of E Hokkaido and the island's only ice-free trading port, it exports timber, fish, and coal. Kushiro is also a major base for fishermen. The city is the center of the huge Kushiro coal field, which extends far out to sea; mining is carried on in the sea. Industrialization has made Kushiro important in the production of marine products, dairy products, lumber, paper, pulp, and fertilizer. The city is traversed by the Kushiro River. It takes 2 hours from Haneda Airport to get to Kushiro Airport by domestic flight, and from there it is 30 minutes by car. The hotel is just in front of the JR Kushiro Station. There is a restaurant at the top floor offer breakfast, lunch and dinner with a magnificent night view of Kushiro City. This is a white concrete building. It is noticeable with a signboard of the hotel name in English on the top of the building. The lobby is medium in size with few sitting space.
