Until today i was three times in the Hotel Palace in Bad Hofgastein/Austria, my mother is here more often. The Palace is mostly, but not only, frequented by elder guests who seek peace, comfort and especially the good evening buffet in the restaurant. This is at times frequented very intense, so that you can almost talk of a "buffet-battle" (but only almost). The dinner is really good and a main reason for coming here. The Palace is located towards the park, in a few minutes you are in the village center. A City-Shuttle-Bus stops right in front of the hotel. To the ski lift it is quite a distance, so that the Palace would probably not be first choice for active skiers. There are regular shuttles to the "Gasteiner Heilstollen" (radon treatments) which is reportedly good for various diseases, and thus cure seeking guests make the majority among the hotel guests. Please contact your doctor about if this is right for you. The Hotel is clean, the staff friendly, special needs are fulfilled if possible. I can recommend the Palace Hotel in Bad Hofgastein/Austria . It is more for the peace, quietness, wellness and cure seeking guest as for the younger guest who seeks action and adventure holiday. Those who want a rest will find a good holiday at the Kurhotel Palace in Bad Hofgastein.
