Pitlochry, one of the most popular places to visit in Scotland, is home to Knockendarroch House Hotel. This elegant Victorian mansion, set in elevated grounds, affords glorious views over the Tummell Valley, yet it is only a short stroll from the picturesque town centre. There is an array of events on throughout the year in and around Pitlochry including festivals and guided tours. Our favourite right now takes place on a Monday night in the recreation ground (May 26th-Sept 8th) where you can enjoy a night of Highland culture, watch and listen to local pipe bands & traditional Scottish music as well as enjoy some Highland dancing. Pitlochry is a place with something for everyone and we hope you leave with many pleasant memories. We have 12 bedrooms at the Knockendarroch, each one decorated in a minimalist style and colour co-ordinated. The ground floor suite is ideal for anyone with restricted mobility or who has difficulty with stairs( The hotel does not have a lift ). Every room has en-suite facilities, a direct-dial telephone, television, radio, hairdryer and a hospitality tray with tea/coffee and homemade shortbread. Rates include dinner, bed & breakfast. good hotelwe stated at the knockendarroch for one night and found it excellent ,our room was huge and the en suite was very clean as was everything else .The welcome was great and very friendly and the food was a good standard,the hotel was well signposted from the town and was only a five minute walk away all in all we had a great stay and loved both the hotel and pitlochry ,we would definately return and probably for longer

Good hotel we enjoyed the food We thought this hotel was excelent value for money with the Late Rooms offer. The hotel is really clean everywhere the room was good with a large bathroom . The food was good and the breakfast was especially good with a variety of things on offer.

Nice clean hotelSmall hotel with no fully staffed reception or bar. However you could get a drink by ringing a bell or staff would check if you wanted one. The appearance of what appeared to be the owners could have been smarter. The dinner was good with good wine choice and reasonably priced.

5 star for 4 starRoom 10 was fab - a balcony overlooking Pitlochry and the surrounding area - couldn't have been nicer. Comfortable, quiet and atmospheric. Breakfast had a lot of choices - spot on - especially scrambled eggs with smoked salmon.

Pitlochry at EasterWe thoroughly enjoyed our short break at this hotel. We were well received, the staff were very friendly, and our room had a magnificent view to the town of Pitlochry and the hills beyond. And as for the food - well it was excellent. We had to admit defeat one night, as the generous portions left only enough room for some ice cream for the sweet. We would definitely go back!

For the most part, a great night away - super food, lovely setting. The only negative was that the room was not sufficiently heated. The room was quite cold when we arrived, evntually warming up after a couple of hours. In the morning, the heating only came on at 8:30 am, by which time we were already awake and freezing. Unfortunately that's reason enough not to return.

Nice little hotel, very friendly service, think \"luxury\" may be slight misnomer and hadn't expected it to be next to a housing estate, but very warm and welcoming. Breakfast was great. Would stay again.

The hotel is in a quite area of the town but only a 5 minute walk into the centre of Pitlochry. The room was comfortable and clean and breakfast was of a high standard. The hotel is small and homely and the manageress very friendly and welcoming. Will definetly stay here again.

Lovely comfortable hotel. Friendly service. Made to feel very welcome, even with a 2 year old in our company. Enjoyed a superb 4 course dinner. Would definitely stay again.

Family room disappointing, camp bed provided for child but the room was not really big enough for camp bed to fit comfortably.At breakfast and dinner we were shown to a small round table suitable for 2 even though there were 3 in our party. Our request for a bigger table was met at dinner time but not at breakfast even though there appeared to be lots of other empty tables. Breakfast was satisfactory. Would not recommend the evening meal, overpriced and not great quality.Hotel was very clean and well maintained with a lovely lounge to relax in on an evening.

Great location. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Meal was fairly good. Service in restaurant was friendly but it was a bit rushed. No sooner was one course cleared away when the next course appeared, as a result we were finished a 4 course meal in just over one hour. It would be much better if the staff took their time and didn't rush the service, it would feel much more relaxing. Overall, this was a very pleasant hotel that I would recommend and it was very good value for money.

A very enjoyable weekend. Staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. The evening meals were exceptional as was breakfast. We will definately be returning in the future. Nothing negative to say about Knockendarroch at all.
