it's cheap. but here, you definetly get what you pay for. our unit had a kitchenette in it. but the wall outlet that the microwave, toaster oven, and blow dryer the hotel provided us with did not work......... we could only find one other wall outlet to plug stuff into...... across the room by the door. this made it inconvient. we had to move the microwave and toastoven over under the window by the door. we had a room on the back side of the hotel and our balcony over looked a trailer park that seemed to be on the same site as the hotel itself. a good note, just around the corner was a really nice outlet mall with everything from coach to nike. with various fast food and sit down restaruants. it is only one exit from mexico and very close to imperial beach

The room was great. The check in time was not the same as said and there was no internet. The Jacuzzi did not work either. Iliked the room but nothing.I would not stay here again.

The Knight's Inn in San Diego was Cheap!!!! Thats the ONLY THING Good about this place! We Arrived a Little Early and they did let us Check in Early. But we had a Non Smoking Room and it Stunk when we walked in. The room was small... it said over size ROOM!!! Have a Fridge, Microwave and Electric stove, and Blow dryer that DID NOT Work.... It was old way old an OUT DATE... We could park right in front of our room!!! A big PLUS cause we were coneceted to a Trailer Park. Also the Staff was rude.. DONT BOTHER to call the front DESK for anything cause they WONT answer.. And the Pool was OKAY clean but pool area was NOT!! All the Pool chair's were broke , cracked ,VERY VERY DIRTY!!!! I WOULD Not RECOMEND this hotel... Rc las vegas N.V.

We chose it for its location close to the border. There is no check in at Knights Inn. You check in at hotel in front, which has changed hands. Not a problem, but inconvenient.

it was close to local trasport which allowed me to see san diego without worrying about traffic

I liked that it was conveniently located near the shops and the border. I didn't like that the two attempts that my family had made towards taking a shower, the water was uncomfortably cold. The hotel was nicely located near shopping facilities, however from the approach during the evening hours gave me an uneasy feeling seeing that there was a trailer park really close by.

Everything was fine except for one day a housekeeper walked inside while my friend was sleeping and I was in the shower. The housekeeper woke my friend up and asked her if someone cleaned the room earlier.

Right off the highway, 2 blocks from a mall, 10 minutes from Mexico. It is right next door to a trailor park and dirty outside. I would not recommend this hotel we had to move rooms 3 times until they put us in Super 8 next door. It is located in the bad part of South San Diego facing a dirty trailor park.

Price. Location and service. A very poor hotel in all respect. I will recommend for people. Not recommended for family only guys night stay.

Knights Inn was very satisfiying too our needs for our vacation. Close too San diego and close to the freeway which made it easy for travel to the beaches and Balboa Park. This was our 3rd year at this hotel and we plan on staying there on all our vacations to San Diego. The Service was excellent. We we're even able too check in 6 hours earlier after traveling all night. We were provided with enough clothes space. The kitchenette was very helpful. We spent less money cause we could cook meals right in our room. Overall, our hotel experince help made our vacation great.

There was a pool and Denny's was walking distance. Linens were dingy and room was filthy. The Jacuzzi was out of order. The staff knowlegable of surroundings. Hotel was too far from everything. This hotel was dirty and too far from any attractions. I had to rent a car to get around. No shuttles go there. One wrong turn to the left and you're in Mexico. They have small kitchens in every room but did not provide pots or utensils to use. The linen look dirty. The towels looked like they were about to break. The breakfast consists of bread, corn flakes, water down juice and coffee. The Jacuzzi was out of order. The pool was not heated like advertised. The staff could not provide me with simple information about airport distance, nearby attractions, theme parks or car rentals. They couldn't provide me with a later check-out than 12pm because housekeeping has to leave by 2pm. My plane was taking off at 10pm. It was very disappointing.

The room was Ok but definitely not going to stay for the next time. I did not find it clean. Not at all satisfactory. In the month of July the Pool was also closed. Not going for the next time.

Staff was ok. Low quality of the rooms. I would only recommend this hotel if you are very short financially and you wish to stay only one night and if you are not picky of comfort and quality then yes it's a good choice. Maybe I was unlucky but our first room had a toilet leak pretty embarrassing and the second one had no AC, when you stay south of San Diego during summer time it's an issue especially when you travel with young ones. In the third some furniture looked old and almost falling apart but at least the toilets and the AC were working properly ! Finally I have to say that staff was correct and allowed us to change rooms even without insisting too much (service was ok). I hope you will have a better experience.

My truck was broken into in the parking lot and some of my things were stolen. This hotel is in the worst spot, right on the border to Tijuana and next to a trailer park. My truck was broken into on my one night stay and the dennys next door was not very good.

It wasn't very clean and the area wasn't all that great to have children present For the price, it wasn't bad. However, the rooms smelled of smoke and the area around the hotel was kinda dirty. The dumpsters were filled and looked disgusting. We didn't feel that safe at night as we were getting into our room. Once we settled in, it wasn't too bad, othe than the smell in the room. Oh, and the walls are very thin.

Nothing and if you had seen it, you'd agree! It was filthy and in a questionable neighborhood. The room was disgustingly filthy, there was no management on duty, I had to check-in through a glass window, the pool was closed early, there were people wandering around and watching us unpack our vehicle.

Not a thing. Everthing. I feel that the location was not safe at all. The rooms where not cleaned. I had to ask to be move too another room two times with in my stay at the hotel. I will not recommed them to no one ever.

Shower was nice. Floor was not clean, room was not clean and coffie maker was not clean. Iwas not impressed, price was ok, kitchen was not clean and will not go back to them again.
