The staff was very friendly. The cabin was spacious with complete kitchen. Quick walk across the street to a beautiful sandy beach. The continent breakfast was a bit sparse, but that's quibbling. We really enjoyed our stay and would gladly stay again

Up until now, I figured these negative reviews were from people with "sour grapes". I just want to warn people that there are lots of attratctive properties in the Tahoe area that are a much better value and offer good customer service. Don't pre-pay with your credit card, No refunds will be granted! I arrived just before the employee went home at 6:00 P.M., so I quickly checked out the place to make sure all was satisfactory. I found the toilet tank wouldn't hold water. Upon inspecting it, the employee couldn't figure out why the last people had turned off the water, so he turned it back on and said it was fixed. I said there must be a reason why it had been turned off, as he walked out the door. That night I discovered that every 45 minutes it sounded as if a jet plane was taking off: It was the toilet refilling! The bed was "well used" and the room was dark and dingy. In the morning I could just imagine from the loud sound of traffic that the cabin was sitting in the middle of the highway. By morning I was feeling quite ill and needed to return home earlier than planned. I waited until the desk opened at 8:30 to find that there is a 48 hour cancellation policy. I was told that "they have all of these cabins that they will never rent, and therefore cannot give me a refund:" And furthermore, didn't believe that I was sick. I said that they were taking advantage of my poor health. As I walked out, even though they didn't have a gun, I felt like I was being robbed. They had my credit card #, and a cancellation policy to hide behind. KCL

You would think with the amount they are charging they could afford to remodel a little. Our toilet was broken and the bed was very uncomfortable. Plus there is no air conditioner. We didn't get much sleep. We never did see the office management. They open late and close early (like 7:00pm). It would've been nice to be able to ask them about the area.

We just finished the busiest week of the year at our business, moved and started a remodel. We were looking for a simple place to relax and sit in a hot tub relatively close to the lake. What a huge disappointment. We were put in a room with a full size bed even though we had requested a queen. We are both very tall so our legs hang over the edge. The whole reason I picked this hotel was for the hot tub. We were told the hotel was being sold and the own had stopped fixing things. The hot tub was not working. The bed was uncomfortable and the front desk closed just after we arrived (around 6 or 7 pm) so there was no hope of changing rooms. online travel website was no help with this either. In the morning we opened our door and there was a bear 30 feet away tearing into the garbage can that the hotel left open. Cool bear but I am pretty sure plastic bags are not good for him. The manager said this happens every morning. I guess they always leave the cans open. We left and found ourselves another place to stay.
