basic hotel, but not bad

When we arrived they seemed to be re-building the reception area. Nearly broke my neck getting in the door where several tiles were missing. Single reception person the epitome of unhelpfulness - totally uninterested. No elevator to rooms, which beggars belief. The room was terrible, over 40c and smelled mouldy. Food in the 'restaurant' was prepared by a single lady who I don't think even knew the basics; truly terrible food *and* expensive, to boot. Costly to hook up to the internet if you need to. The hotel's only redeeming features are that it's close to the airport and operates a free shuttle bus. Stay here only if you can't get anywhere else. You have been warned.

This hotel is good value for money. The room was looking tired & under-maintained. The bathroom, although dated, was clean, spacious & functional. Full cooked breakfast available for a very reasonable price and very fast service. If you are looking for a cheap airport hotel that provides free transfers & good service, I would recommend this.

We stayed in a newly renovated room which was just lovely. Our friends were booked into one of the rooms yet to be renovated which wasn't nearly as nice. However, when we requested the staff happily changed them to a new room. Rooms very clean, staff friendly, prompt friendly airport shuttle service (although the van did smell of cigarette smoke). Will happily recommend this hotel to friends.

After arriving at Auckland tired and jet lagged we phoned the Kiwi International and liked the free shuttle mini-bus. As it was winter, we appreciated the hot shower, warm room, warm bed and good meals. Above all, all staff were friendly and genuinely helpful and made us feel very welcome.

Breakfast was supposed to start at 7am, but they were not ready before 7.30am. So a prepaid breakfast was a waste of money, as we did not have time to wait until 7.30am.

This is a very Basic hotel, the quality of the food in the resturant was not the best, it is fairly near to the airport and has a free shuttle so not all bad!

there are loose tiles in the bathroom, and need for better maintenance. The surrounds are poor. We avoided eating there! but it is convenient for us and it has a shuttle to the airport. there was difficulty accessing internet, and it wasn't free, as I would expect.......Not a stimulating environment. tired.
