best value for the stay. Most comfortable beds, wonderful shower. The best part was a patio in which we could smoke in privacy outside. Being a travel agent, was very happy. Wish it had a microwave though.

The hotel appears so MUCH better on the website than what it really is. The rooms are smaller, they smell and they are in poor condition. We arrived at 8:30am and they told us check in was not until 3:00pm. I do not recommend this hotel.

Great place to stay with THE BEST BEDS IN HISTORY. Hotel restaurant was romantic and very, very good. We had a Trailhead room with a great trail right outside the door. Very quiet and central to ALL of Sedona. Free breakfast outside every morning, very, very good. The room was Quite clean and the staff was A1. It may not be the best place in Sedona but for the money it was very, very nice. A lot of activities near and around hotel. If you book any tous with RedStone Tours, then you can get great packages from them and the hotel. Everything we expected was there as told to us. If you stay, please be sure to ask for a Trailhead room. They are very nice and quiet after a day of hiking,touring,shopping,ect...I just can't say enough of the location and the beauty around the hotel

Decent place for fair price. Travelers on a budget would appreciate it but not a place you want to hang out for an extendeded period of time. Good location. Close to shopping and sites.

It all depends upon your goals and expectations for your stay. This facility did not meet ours. I believe there are some embelishments in the facility description. You really couldn't stroll to the shops even if the road construction in the area wasn't being completed. The room was the smallest I have seen for the dollar amount. The room definitely showed some age, even though the facility description refers to updated rooms. Rooms could have been cleaner (dead bugs, hair in bath tub and bathroom area). One positive attribute - the staff was friendly, helpful and understanding. To sum it up, not a terrible place, but it was just not a good value for dollar amount associated with staying there.

My wife and I stayed at the King's Ransom for a long weekend. We were in town for a friend's wedding and the hotel was in a perfect location to get around town. There is construction on the main road, but it wasn't that bad other than creating some traffic problems. The hotel's grounds are well-kept and create a relaxing atmosphere. The only complaint about the room is that the deck was shared, but it didn't really matter. Our friends from Sedona all raved about the restaurant in the hotel, but it was closed our entire visit. Not a big deal, we'll just have to come back. All in all a good place to stay.

After checking into our room we discovered there was no air conditioning and the thermostat in the room showed just below 90 degrees. We were told to open the windows which were on ground level looking out on a high traffic area, parking lot, and general purpose patio (with benches & tables just inches from our window). When we complained that we did not like the safety of open windows, the traffic noise, and open display into our room we were told nothing could be done.We called the front desk to order a fan & were told one would be right up. Four more phone calls & an hour and a half later the maintenance man delivered a fan by pushing open our adjar door (for ventilation) without a knock, setting the fan down, and stating "there is is" as he walked out of the room. The next morning (after a poor continental breakfast) we checked out then discovered we had lost a pair of prescription sunglasses. We returned to the hotel and told the girl at the front desk that we would like to have them sent to us if there were found. The girl at the front desk never looked up so after a few moments we repeated our request. She then looked up, said "I heard you," and went back to her work without asking which room, our names, or where we would like them sent.It was an absolutely horrible stay. We didn't sleep for the heat of the rooms (we could not sleep with the windows open & our 5 year old in the room), had horrible attention from the staff, a dry - mediocre at best- breakfast, and only forced acknowledgement from the staff when we requested assistance.

This hotel took us in last minute. My husband and I booked a King Suite, and it was HUGE, simple, tasteful, clean decor, spacious restroom with jet bath. The air was set at 68 degrees the whole time. It was WONDEFUL, private, close to everything and had a MARVELOUS cafe called Elote, I LOVED IT!

Short and sweet! The room was ready on time and cleaned daily. Breakfast was nice and fresh. The hotel and room look a lot nicer/newer online.

Some of these older reviews are outdated. My room was recently remodeled, and I hear they all were. I had a nice view of the red rock formations from my room. I was able to walk out the door and go for a hike in the national forest without having to drive. The hotel borders the forest. I tried the Mexican restaurant on the premises and was blown away with the great food and ambiance. It was a very healthy, and much different than your typical Mexican rice and beans. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. Complimentary breakfast was good too.

The scenic drive from Phoenix to Sedona was amazing. Went to the red rocks, visited vortex sites, hiking, shopping, talked to the locals, who are just very happy living in the magical town. We were not happy with our first hotel, called [...] at Cheap tickets and she made arrangements for us at the Kings Ransome. Exellent service again, Thank you Cheap Tickets.

Our room overlooked two large bushes and an alley. I would expect this for half the price. Would not recommend to anyone.

Room keys did not work at first--front desk called maintenance--fixed problem; room decorated very nicely & very spacious; room temperature hard to control (strange set-up); beautiful views & nice hike behind the hotel; good continental breakfast; live music poolside at night; all in all, a nice stay!

We enjoyed our stay at the Kings Ransom. The room was roomy and comfortable, nice and clean. Especially enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. The woman at the front desk was very helpful with sightseeing information.

An older building, but everything was very clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were a godsend in the hot desert, very well maintained, well landscaped with pergola, flowering shrubs, pine trees. Morning coffee on the patio with the cicadas singing was a bonus.

The room is large, but not particularly attractive. The king bed is comfortable, and its nice to have a sitting area with a sofa and coffee table. Location is good, just a short distance to Sedona's attractions.

The Kings Ransom Sedona Hotel is well maintained, the pool area was excellend and very inviting, and the Bistro and coffee shop were very pleasant and had great coffee! The location was a very pleasant surprise as we could walk to the local shops or be anywhere in Sedona within minutes, but we were not located right in the middle of town where there was a lot of traffic and vacationing people. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything and we would definitely return and stay again at Kings Ransom.
