The Kings Courtyard Inn was constructed in 1854, and fuses Egyptian style with Greek architecture. Prior to being converted into an inn, the building was used as a residence and as a shop. The inn has maintained much of its historic character despite the renovation. Guests receive a complimentary glass of sherry or wine upon arriving, and they may receive a Continental breakfast in their room, in the courtyards, or in the breakfast room. What are your breakfast options?: We offer a complimentary Continental breakfast which can be delivered to your room or eaten in our breakfast room. In the breakfast room, we do also offer a la carte items such as eggs and meats. The prices are comparable to a restaurant. Our breakfast is served from 7:00 am to 10:00 am on weekdays and from 7:00 am – 11:00 am on weekends. There are also 3 great restaurants within a block of the hotel that serve breakfast.
What transport is available to get around?: We are located in the heart of Charleston's downtown historic district so no transportation is really needed for the center of town. Most downtown attractions and restaurants are within walking distance. We have several different transport companies that we work with for airport transportation; we do not have our own shuttle. If you want to go to the beach, the best option would really be to rent a car as the cost to go by taxi would be much higher. The 3 main area beaches are about a half hour from the hotel.
What can I do nearby?: There are many attractions in the city of Charleston.
