Basic'Hotel' is a bit of a misnoma, this is a pub with very basic rooms. They were clean but to be honest that's all I can say in their favour. Cramped and stuffy, too many things that didn't work properly i.e. shower doors, light bulbs, telly, and the drains smelt however the price was cheap and I suppose that was reflected in the accomodation. We just needed a bed for the night but I have to admit that I wasn't looking forward to going back to the room after attending a family function nearby.

We were not expected. Room 2 has a tiny window, and NO view of anything. Also the water was cold. The landlord was fine about our cancelling the ret of our booking.

During my stay at this hotel i was never asked once if everything was ok knowone bothered to talk to me in the bar or restaurant and the room was tiny like a big cupboard and it didnt seemed to have been cleaned the whole time i was there. As i am from Luton i was very dissapointed.I would not recomend this hotel

This hotel is located in Mangrove Green, it should be called Mangrove Swamp! My room was reasonably sized, but the sheets on the bed were badly crumpled and the laminate floor bounced so badly it was like walking on rubber. The bathroom was cramped, smelly and had mould on the ceiling, floor and tiles. The shower cubicle leaked directly onto the floor and judging from the extensive water staining had been doing so for some time. The taps in the sink were loose, again causing significant leaking onto the floor and the sink was so small it was impossible to put ones face over it for a wash without banging your head on the shelf above! The tiling round the w.c. had been removed, leaving the pipework exposed and a distinct smell of sewage emenated from the area around the pipes. All in all a thoughroughly unpleasant experience!

A very welcome and economical alternative to staying in most of the other hotels in Luton that are convenient for the airport.

The 'hotel' is in fact a converted public house and the rooms are directly situated above the main bar. If you are looking for a comfortable rest, avoid this place at all costs. Foul and abusive language bellows out from below, and once the clientèle have dispersed, you are kept awake by the scuffiling on the roof - which I can only presume are pigeons. The room can be described as compact and an unpleasant smell continually emanated from the bathroom. The plumbing was also of a particular poor standard. In my opinion, the hotel room was of a youth hostel standard, rather than the elaborate description portrayed on the web site.

Never again! Owing to our time of arrival we were expected to pay before seeing the room and then just given a key. The three of us were all crammed into a tiny room, having to climb over the end of the bed to get out. The ensuite facilities were about the size of a large wardrobe with the smallest handbasin ever!

The lovely location is wasted - the room was not cleaned sufficiently, the corridors absolutely filthy, and unforgiveably, the toilet had not been flushed prior to our arrival, stinking out the room. The lumpy mattress was covered by a single thin sheet - very uncomfortable. Not unfriendly, but very amateurish set-up. Ok it's cheap, but you'd really be better off paying £15 more and getting somewhere half decent - especially if, like us, you've got an early flight the next morning.

i had my dinner at the bar, the food was ok.. i'm satisfied with it.. except for the food that was in my room intended for breakfast. it would be better to serve it the next day to ensure the good quality of the food and its freshness and safety as well.generally i am satisfied... thanks.

lovely hotel, nice and clean and lovely food in the pub below...However, when we stayed only 1 towel was provided. This was for the 2 of us!Also 1 teabag for the 2 of us!Shower was pretty rubbish. The cubicle broke then the shower sprayed water everywhere.. no wonder the floor was wonky and was creaking!good service though!

Hotel ok but internet map is wrong.Shows directions to a non existant hotel. There is confusion over Mangrove Road/Green. I wasted over an hour.

Set in the Herts countryside beyond Luton Airport at Mangrove Green the hotel is an old converted inn. The bedrooms are ok but the ensuite is very small. The bedrooms are accessed by an exterior steel staircase to the sid eof the pub. This would not be suitable for someone with a physical handicap or a wheelchair user. A basic breakfast (cereal, croissant, roll) is provided in the room along with tea and coffee making facility. The hotel is cheap by local standard and lives up to its 2 star rating. Food is served at lunch and in the evening in the restaurant. The food is basic but plentiful and very good value. The pub serves a good selection of beers including a range of real ales that are kept in very good condition.

the King William is first and formost a pub. However, the food is of excellent quality and good value for money. The rooms as more than adequate, being clean and decorated to a good standard. Excellent for a might stay or a few days. Situated in a small village just outside Luton and only about 10 minutes from the airport but check your directions to get there. I arrived in the dark and without knowing where your going you would never find it!! Good value for money.
