This romantic historic ruin, built in a gothic-style in the early 1800's for the Tennison family, has been restored to its former glory and completely modernized by the addition of 5 star facilities, including a beauty salon and a deluxe spa, which is due for completion in April 2009. Ideal for an extra-special weekend break or an unforgettable holiday, the Kilronan Castle Hotel is the perfect choice for those who enjoy travelling in style, surrounded by acres of stunning scenery, lush verdant pastures and ancient Irish forests. Hotel guests can enjoy the finest a la carte Irish cuisine in the Douglas Hyde Restaurant as well as a spot of afternoon tea in the Drawing Room. Sitting beside the large Inglenook fireplace, you will be transfixed by the lovely views out over Lough Meelagh. There is also another bar, the Dungeon, a cafe and a juice bar in the spa. What are your breakfast options?: Breakfast is served every morning from 7:30am to 10.:0am. Full Irish Breakfast costs €14.95 per person. If you'd like to Breakfast in the area, you need a car to drive to Leitrim Village (approximately 15min drive from the hotel) or Carrick on Shannon or Boyle (both towns are approximately 20min drive from the hotel.
What transport is available to get around?: The best way to travel is with your own car or with a taxi.
What can I do nearby?: With have a leisure centre. Residents have full access to this area. We are close to the Arigna Mines (mining experience, they offer tours every day). The Lough Key Forest Park offers all kind of activists for children and is very nice for walks.
Do you have internet?: We offer internet access for the guest in the public area. We have one computer where guest are welcome to login and use the internet. There is no charge for it. Unfortunately we don't have available internet in the rooms.
Do you provide parking?: There is lots of place to park the car in front of the hotel.
