Didn't arrive until 9.30 pm, but was greeted by a poorly dresssed attendant slouched on a couch and watching TV... Not unfriendly otherwise, but completely un-representativeQuite noisy as well - any guest going to the loo during the night woke me upBut a cheap place, I guess at 65 pounds or so

From outside, the hotel was charming. On a busy Kensington street and day one, with it being your first time in London, you're excited. Inside? Very clean, but noisy at night, even with the windows closed. My window slipped off the track and the phone didn't work, which was a necessity for me since my friends lived in Northern England. I reported it to the front desk staff, and 5 days later, nothing was done. I would just pay an extra 200 pounds and stay at a chain hotel from the US close to the tube and receive the service you think you're paying for.

Worst hotel everThey say number 13 is unlucky for some, it certainly was for me as that was the room number I was put in.I was stuck in a room about 10 ft by 6 ft which was more like a prison cell. The supposed microwave and toaster weren't in my room and when asked at reception the staff weren't bothered. The bedroom and bathroom weren't together but I needed the room card to be in the holder in the room for the bathroom lights to be on so I had to leave my room door open when I went to the bathroom. All in all, it is cheap but it was terrible. I think I'll pay a bit more for a decent place next time.

The hotel and room were nothing more than adequate. I was looking for a place to spend the night that was in London proper, and to that end, this hotel fit the bill. It was conveniently located near a tube stop, and there was a shopping center and a few bars nearby. I just wish the shower didn't flood the whole bathroom and the staff was a little friendlier. -FYI, I couldn't check into my room until 2hrs after I arrived (10am) at the hotel, which kind of spoiled my day.

NOT Suites by any imagination !I booked because their website stated this 3 star(!) hotel had spacious rooms, ALL of which had A/C, as well as kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave and minibar. In reality, the double ensuite I paid 80 GBP for had a double bed - period. The room was so small, I could not even lay flat or open a small carry-on piece of luggage. The A/C never worked - it was extremely hot, and incredibly noisy with the window open. There wasn't a wardrobe or table of any kind, much less refrigerator! I have no idea why they are called "Suites" - they don't come close. The breakfast room was too small and too crowded to waste my time for a piece of toast, so I didn't bother. It wasn't worth the money, and it was totally misrepresented on the website. It was clean and did have free internet. If they had honestly stated all you receive is a bed and offered a fair price, I would not feel so deceived. However, they didn't - so I would never consider staying here again. Don't waste your money.

The rooms are very small. I will only recommend if you are under 5'2". The room doesn't fit more than 2 people. When you sit on the toilet seat, your left knee hit the sink if you are not careful. Only one person can use the bathroom. I stayed in the basement, so if someone upstairs walks, the floor makes squeezy noise, which kept me up most of the night. I am not sure about people who stayed on the upper floors. You cannot make any local/long distance calls. They will charge you 1 pound per min for local calls, 1.5 pounds for long distance. Internet is 5 pounds for 24 hrs. The staffs are not really friendly. Breakfast is awful (toast, cereal, coffee, hard-boiled egg, and juice). The breakfast room is very small, and they served from 7:30 to 9:30. Location is great. 5 min walk from undegroud Shepperd Bush station, Morrision supermarket, shopping mall, and resturants (McDonalds, KFC, Starbucks, and other small local dinning places). There are plenty of nice resturants by Westfield Shopping Mall. I use the underground everyday to get around the city. Off peak hours tube tickets are always cheaper.

cheap but will not go againthe Hotel is near Shepherds Bush area not Kensington. The Room is so small the bed is filling most of ita lot of traffic noise, as the window is not double glazedthe bathroom door will only open to 40 degrees angle as the ketchinnet is in the way so I had to go in and out of the bathroom side ways.the carpet next to bathroom is water damaged as there is not a shower basin, and water can reach the carpet.no room to eat except on the bed.on last day I discovered the telephone which was on the floor between the bed and window the space was just equal to the width of the telephone, phone range to remind me to check out at 11 am.I requested to leave my bags for a few hours and they said there is a 5 pounds charge.the internet WIFI is free but it is so slow that you can not logon to get your e-mail, so you can not use it.So I only recommend it for small size person with almost no bags, staying for 1 or max 2 days

Pretty good for a budget hotelHaving stayed in a few London hotels, this is by far the best budget hotel I've found. The room we stayed in was small but did the job, it was clean, the decor wasn't bad and it had its own fridge, sink and microwave. We were in a room at the back so it was fairly quiet. Breakfast was very basic, cornflakes, toast, hard boiled egg, tea, coffee and juice but for £60 for a twin room, couldn't complain. Reception staff were friendly.

I Would not recomend this hotelDinning room not big enough for all guests, Room only had enough space for a couple of hangers and no drawer space so living out of bag all the time. Only single glazed so road noise was load even at night!

Good for the MoneyOK, I arrived late (1am) and they waited for me (+) the window in my ground floor room was swinging in the wind with no way of shutting it (-) the wet room was so small, I had to get out of the shower to turn around (-) but the staff were friendly and it didn't cost much money.

Shelter from the rain....Our overall experience was acceptable. The photos of the room hide the fact that there is literally no space to walk around the bed. Very small. Also, an unpleasant odor when we arrived that improved upon leaving the window cracked for a few hours. Service was not overly friendly, but not rude. Free wifi advertised on website was only free with a £5 access fee. Basically, it was a cold, rainy night, so this room provided a shelter that was sufficient for one night's stay.

Excellent value for moneyVery pleasantly surprised. I was looking for something with a bit more sole than the holiday Inn Express and something a little more value for money - I got both. No adverse comments. Very quiet

Good valueThe room, although small, was quiet and clean and had all that one needed - a fridge and hairdryers were welcome extras. It was in the basement, and there was little natural light or ventilation, but adequate artificial light and air-con. The bed was large for a single, and very comfortable.Breakfast was basic, and there were queues for tables on the Saturday when the hotel was full, but for the price, it was good to get breakfast at all. A small garden provides a welcome option to sit in on a hot day, but could do with a bit of a clean and tidy. Note that it is further from Kensington Olympia tube station than it looks on the map, because of the railway line, but still well within walking distance. There is a good bus service right outside to Kensington, Earls Court etc.

couldn't swing a catNice friendly hotel. Helpful reception. Double room too small for even one person. Clean. No need to reduce the space with kitchen paraphernalia. Very noisy at front overlooking the main road. Breakfast really mean. Cornflakes and toast. Plus hard boiled egg.

A great findThought this must be the bargain of the century, compared to the other shoddy places in London I have stayed in for similar prices. Yes the room was a bit frayed around the edges (cracks in the walls, wet room shower that had leaked out onto the carpet, wrong-fitting toilet cistern), but hey, I have paid more for doss-houses with sheets for curtains and shared bathrooms down the corridor. This place was obviously renovated in the recent past, done tastefully for a budget hotel with wet rooms, flat screen TVs, comfortable beds and all modern furniture. I had a huge triple room with air conditioner and a view on to the back garden (with patio furniture for outside seating). And all for £30.Only downsides were the slightly offputting Arabic TV station blaring away in the lobby, the pretty meagre breakfast of do-it-yourself toast, boiled eggs and cornflakes, and the location (which was on a slightly run-down street a fair walk from Shepherd's Bush or Olympia tubes). But you could pay a cab to get there and still save money over worse places in better locations. Would definitely return.

Excellent valueGreat value for money. Tidy 'kitchenette' with refrigerator and microwave in each room. Far better standard than most budget hotels, and cheaper too. Bed was very comfortable, which helps. Good choice of channels on television. Bathroom, spotless and complimentary soap and shampoo. Plenty of clean towels laid out on top of the bed upon arrival.

My stay at the Kensignton Suite HotelI found the hotel to be very pleasant myself, even though when arriving someone was complaining about no heating in their room (March!). I checked in with no problems, got told where my room was and shown how to use the card for the electric. Upon arrival of my room I found it to everything I needed for a comfortable stay at £40 for a night in Kensington! A Bargain, even if the room was a bit on the small side, but then I didn't expect much for 40 quid! The only thing I found to be a little strange was that there was a swing door with my room number (13) on it into a very small lobby and then a door with which I need to use the card key to get through - this was my room, in here was the system to put my card key into in order for the electric to work and had to left in there in order for the lights and TV to work. All fine and dandy - then back through my room door back to the bit with the swing door was another door with the bathroom through it, there was no lock and in order to keep the light on I had to left the card key in my room which meant I therefore had to leave my room door open, enabling any tom, dick or harry into my room! For this reason I decided not to use the shower as I was traveling on my own plus there was no lock on the bathroom door! So I used the bathroom for quick uses of the loo and a quick wash and felt I had to leave the door to the bathroom a jar so I could see if anyone was entering my room!! All very odd really, why not put the door lock on the swing door, it would make the room much larger and would increase privacy!! Or give two card keys enabling use of the electric and to be able to shut the room door for security and add a lock to the bathroom door for privacy! Food was pleasant enough for a £40 stay in London, cornflakes, boiled eggs and toast (butter/jams), tea/coffee/milk. Staff were polite and friendly and had an added bonus of a lovely flat screen tele with perfect picture, air con and co

Shocking damp!We were given the basement room which had its own entrance from the front of hte building down some steps and initially thought it was quite unique until we opened the door and the smell of damp hit us! Awful. The damp was throughout and although you could see it had been recenlty renovated, the floorboards were dangerously lifting, skirting board falling off, bathroom ceiling part missing and the smell was just dreadful. I believed there to be no shower until I shut the bathroom door and a shower unit had been fixed to the wall, but no curtain or shower tray - very bizzarre and not very pleasant!! There was masking tape still round the fire alarms which gave us the impression that they must decorate frequently to hide the damp stains. Spent £60.00 for the double room (which also included a single bed) and I would never ever let such a dreadful state room out to any guest whatsoever! Great location for Shepherds Bush, 2 plasma TV's and comfy bed, but the room was a health hazzard and I didn't enjoy my stay at all. Breakfast was toast and tea which you made yourself and the rude cleaner pushed passed me on my way out of the building! Spend the extra and stay at the Hilton I would suggest!
