A real gem!Just to ssay we were really surprised to find suxch an amazing hotel in Newcastle, its contemporary, funky and cool, we loved it!The property is in a part of the city called Jesmond which is a leafy upmarket part of town on the outskirts. However, its a good 15 min walk into Newcastly city centre however it is not a nice walk as its via the motorway, university and civic centre however it is worth it once you get there. Alternatively, you can use the Metro which is literally one minute away if you didnt want to walk and its only 2 short stops away to the city centre anyway!

Lovely apartment - a great alternative to a hotel (especially with a toddler). Excellent facilities - very luxurious and relaxing. Convenient location; friendly staff. Even better if they'd been a bit less frugal with supplying loo rolls, soaps etc. But we'd thoroughly recomend.

Location perfect, and very quiet considering how close to city and to Jesmond nightlife. Lounge, Kitchen and bathroom excellent, but bedroom very small.

Apartment very nice but rather dark as it was in the basement. If returning would request an apartment either ground floor level or higher.

NiceThis is an apartment AND a hotel (so there's a reception). The apartment is very well equipped with excellent decor. Customer service was good - note there's no restaurant however they can order you a breakfast if you let them know in advance. Very close to Newcastle centre (5 mins in a taxi) - but located in a very upmarket area.The only downside was the in room wireless "broadband" is useless of an evening if there are lots of people using it.

This accomodation has a great location in Newcastle, 2 minutes walk from Jesmond metro and Jesmond High Street. The apartment was of a good standard, comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. We shall definitely use the aparthotel again, it really was a home from home!

A little luxury THe aparthotel is a little haven of luxury , beautiful decor and immaculately clean. The ladies on reception were really friendly and helpful and all was just a sit should be. Sited near to a metro station but walking distance to restaurants and pubs itself, its ideal for a nght or weekend break.

In the main everything was really great - the apartment was lovely and in a lovely area - parking was easy and 2 x travel cots & 2 x high chairs were provided for our 14 month old twins. The only issues we had were that we couldn't get a ground floor apartment (as we left booking so late) so it was not accessible for our tandem pushchair meaning we had to carry the twins up and down stairs and then carry everything else in and out too every time we went out. Also, the high chairs were not very easy to use - the harnesses were fiddly and we could hardly get the twins in and out (so much so that we gave up using them in the end). Also, it is worth noting that the furnishings aren't necessarily chosen with children in mind.

Large room, although the ground floor ones are larger. Very clean and tidy, nicely decorated. Only problem was they did not know if the dvd player was available, not a major issue.

EXCELLENT ACCOMMODATIONVery spacious, clean, well decorated apartments - it was like being in a self contained flat rather than a standard hotel room. Excellent kitchen facilities, beautiful furnishings - couldn't fault it at all. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent accommodation and value for moneyLocation was easy to find, parking was convenient. A really lovely apartment, very comfortable and spacious and spotless. The staff were very helpful and friendly. If only all holiday accommodation could be like this !

Kensington House ApartHotel Review by Michael SmithThis ApartHotel is possibly the best accomodation i have stayed at during my years of travel. I work away from home occasionally and I have never stayed in such clean, tidy and well decorated room as i did at Kensington House.We were welcomed by a very pleasant and helpful young lady at reception who showed me around the accomodation pointing out all it had to offer. Kitchen with microwave, oven, fridge/freezer all appliances to the highest standards. The lounge area had a large flat screen tv with free sky sports and movies. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the master bedroom had a well furnished en-suite all of which was very tidy and clean.This was a well setup ApartHotel and i cannot reccomend it highly enough. I will most definately be staying there again.

Slightly grubby but spacious and welcomingThe apartments are spacious and have most things that you need although I had to ask for a hair dryer (which arrived promptly). I believe that some also have washing machines but haven't found one yet.The carpets and some of the walls are marked and slight grubby and I wouldn't be happy if I had been paying full price but surfaces, towels etc are clean and the appartments comfortable.Haven't found local restaurants and grocery shops in less that a 10 minute walk but the metro is across the road and it is only three stops to the central station.
