Located within easy walking distance of the Ramkota Convention Center. One block away from the Missouri River and walking and biking trails. Located within minutes of the best hunting and fishing in South Dakota at Lake Oahe and Lake Sharpe with guide service information available at the front desk. We have 14 historical sites located close by including the Oahe Dam-State Capital Building and WWII-Korea and Vietnam Memorials. The hotel offers a free River Rise Deluxe Continental Breakfast-guest computor-free Wi-Fi access in all rooms-irons and ironing boards-hair dryers-coffee pots and tea and CableTV with HBO. Some rooms do have microwave refrigerators. Microwave available in lobby. We do allow pets in the rooms at a fee. Rollaways and cribs are available. River City Transit trolley picks up and drops off every 1/2 hr at our parking lot from 6pm to 3 am every eve.

Convenient location. One staff person was not that helpful. Breakfast was not that great. Location was good. Seems a bit run-down.

lazy unfriendly staffs, old uncomfortable beds, unclean rooms... I expected better for 60 getting huge discount by booking online but I think super 8 could have been better...

Breakfast was nice the morning staff was lovely. Wouldn't give extra pillows night check person sucked she was rude. Not a very clean place but if its a quick stay not so bad. The staff in the early morning for breakfast was wonderful however the night girl was more interested on talking on her cell phone then helping me get extra pillows for my children whichI found out from her after a long wait that they didn't have extra so if you have 3 kids and 2 adults better bring 2 pillows. They also wouldn't give us double beds because we booked on Priceline. whats the point of using it if you get no accomodations from hotels like this one. just poor service on their end

Met my expectations. It is no longer called the Kelly Inn and is called the River Lodge. Hotel was fine...exactly what I expected. Future travelers are warned that the hotel name has changed from Kelly Inn to The River Lodge. Had I known that I could have saved some time driving around Pierre at 1am when I got into town?

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The staff changed our room so we could have one with two double beds and a refrigerator and microwave in the room. They were very helpful in recommending restaurants in the area and with directions getting there. This was a very enjoyable experience.

The AC worked alright. There was no pool, had to go next door to the Radisson. The window was broken along with the screen. The TV reception was fuzzy. There was no pool or hot tub in their 360 room tour. We had to take our key cards to the Radisson next door to use their pool.

It was clean. No pool but that was available, it just was not in the complex. It is a nice hotel, if you are looking for high class, pay more. The staff was very helpful with directions to different establishments. I enjoyed my stay.

The staff was so helpful and friendly. They were able to provide directions and information that was very helpful. Comfortable room with the basic amenities you need for a short stay. The staff is the best and most helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Sturgis motorcycle rally.

The location was good and the hotel was easy to find. The hotel reeked of cigarette smoke. The hotel was easy to find. It was right on the main road through town. Check-in was quick and easy. My first inclination that all would not be wonderful was the overpowering cigarette smoke smell in the lobby. I asked for confirmation that the room was a non-smoking room, and I was assured it was. Putting a non-smoking sign on the outside of a room does not make it a non-smoking room. The bathtub had cigarette smoke burns and the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Entering my room, the light switch didn't work, so, I had to walk back to the front desk to tell them. They were aware of the problem. I was told that the light switch used to control an overhead light fixture that recently blew up and they removed the fixture. Another light switch located under the towels should be used. After locating the light switch that would turn on the light over the vanity I moved into the room. The towels were grimy looking, and the bath mat was worn and frayed. The complimentary shampoo had the seal broken so I opted not to use it. There was free internet access in the room. I attempted to connect, but couldn't get anything to work. It took several trips back to the front desk to get a new cable and discuss how to get it to work before I realized that when it was installed, the cables were connected incorrectly. The front desk help was patient and helpful through the entire process. There is a complimentary continental breakfast in the lobby area consisting of waffles, juice, toast and muffins. There were two types of cereal offered as well. The front desk worker kept everything restocked and immediately responded to any request to refill part of the breakfast offering.

Wouldn't even stay there. The drive-up appeal was so poor we did not even stop. The quality of this hotel was not at all what we expected. The exterior was extremely questionable. We did not want to waste our time with a trashy hotel, so we did not even stay there!

They had a shuttle bus that took us anywhere we needed to go, thus saving us having to rent a car. It was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was not ready by six; we had to leave before it was ready. We did not eat until we got to map. Nice location near restaurant row. If you have a vehicle in which to get to them. They are across from mc Donald¿s.

It was quiet and convenient. I was disappointed the first day because they didn't have their waffle-maker out. They did the second day. This motel is a reasonable deal, quiet and convenient for my needs. I would not probably give it a 2* rating as I think it compares poorly to the other 2* motels in this community. It has a rather limited breakfast and no on-site pool (like the others.
