Built in the 1880s and located in the heart of The Lake District in Windermere Village Kays Cottage is a small family run guest house providing high quality bed & breakfast accommodation. Our location in Windermere Village offers a wide range of dining and shopping within 2 minutes walk and we are within 5 minutes walk from national rail and bus services. Lake Windermere is a short walk down the hill from us at Bowness-on-Windermere. There are regular buses during the day and a plentiful supply of reasonably priced taxis. There is something for everyone in the beautiful surrounding area. Fell walking and water-based activities are very popular there are walks on the level too. The Lake District is equally suitable for visitors who just want a peaceful break or to saunter around the interesting and diverse shops. Windermere and Bowness together offer over 35 restaurants and cafes with cuisine and prices to suit every taste and pocket. The Lake District is extremely beautiful and popular setting for weddings and celebrations.
