This hotel was scray at best! The place had not been remodeled or maintained since the early 1960's at least. In the room, one of the box springs actually had 3 huge spots of blood on it. The pool area was not even safe to go in, the ceiling boards were broken and could have fallen at any moment. The entire place smelled like moth balls. The only good part of the trip was the location, which this is the only hotel in town so not many alternatives to staying here.

Helpful man at service counter Shower did not work - No hot water I have stayed in many hotels and this was the worse. I realize I could have called at the desk and complained but late at night and in my night gown he probably would of moved us and I was tired. TV did not work right along with the shower and hot water. The water also had a very bad taste. You should take this off of your hotel listing. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Left at 5am. Also the pool was out of order

We had a very nice stay, the rooms were clean, very comfortable beds and spacious, the Olympic size pool was a lot of fun. The staff was very helpful and freindly. The motel is under construction and some upgrades are in progess, over all the location and price would be worth your stay. It is a older 1960's style motel, architect by Frank Loyd Wright ,so if your looking for a Hilton type hotel, then you'll have to stay in Madison. The Mt. Horeb is very quiant Norwegian style town with very friendly people and clean.

It was quiet. Did not get the continental breakfast, which was to be included. What a dump!

The hotel seemed to be in need of upgrades. The beds were comfy tho! Good place for just an overnight stay.

We liked the architecture and the spaciousness of the room. We enjoyed the vintage charm of this Frank Lloyd Wright creation. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and very helpful when we came in late.

The hotel needs a lot of upgrading which they were the process of doing while we were visiting. The beddings and bathrooms were clean though the floors were quite stained from YEARS of use. The stucco in the hallways leading to the pool area were falling apart, though the pool was nice."

Rooms and halls were well lit. Had to call to get someone to the desk at 4 in the afternoon. The hotel was okay, it could use a little exterior upkeep. The pool was empty, but then it is the off season.

I booked the hotel for a visit to family in Mt. Horeb and could not believe my eyes. It is old, falling apart, not clean, and although the man at the desk (the only person on staff, ever, apparently) was nice, he offered no apologies to thislatant misrepresentation.

It was shoddy and the shower didn't work. It is really rundown. The roof leaks in shared areas. The parking lot and exterior of the hotel were in disrepair. The shower didn't work. The pricesounded reasonable until we got there. It was not worth the price.

I'm sorry, but my impression was that this place was on the verge of closing. Public areas, especially pool, were in neglected and/or filthy condition. Only one staff member on duty.

Location. First room was dirty, had to move to another room. In its heyday, it must have been an awesome Frank Lloyd Wright design, but is kind of run down. I know that they are in the process of doing some renovations; I would be interested in giving them another try in a couple of years to see what they have accomplished.
