Kandahar Lodge Whitefish

Whitefish is at the north end of the Flathead Valley that has Flathead Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. The area offers scenic beauty, golfing, fishing, hiking, and more. Winter brings skiing, snowmobiling, ice skating and dog sledding. Whitefish Mountain Resort has over 3000 acres of skiing and receives on average 300 inches of snowfall. In the summer, the Resort provides a lift ride to the Summit, the Walk in the Treetops adventure, zip lines, mountain bike rentals and trails, an alpine slide, hiking and a Forest Service Interpretive Center. In the winter, Kandahar Lodge has a convenient ski-in location. In the summer, it serves as a base camp to access Glacier Park and other recreation in the area. The Lodge has a lovely lobby with a large river rock fireplace and is decorated with antique furniture and fine art. Continental breakfast is served in the Lobby in the morning and, during the ski season, cookies and cider are set out in the afternoon.
