The Cayre Hotel is one of the jewels of Paris, Very, very good facilities. The staff made the stay one of peace and enjoyment. Fluent English speaking staff, most helpful in giving accurate directions to the various attractions. As hotels staffs go, the Cayre made our tenuous trip very enjoyable. I would recommended this star of the Latin Quarter to anyone who enjoys peace and tranquility

We stayed at K+K for our honeymoon and did upgrade to one of the superior rooms with a view of the Eiffel Tower from our balcony. We arrived at 7am, and got our room straight away. The breakfasts were lovely...they came to know us by the third day and we had our hot chocolates ready as soon as we arrived. The location of the hotel is tip top - just a short walk to the Musee D'Orsay and the Louvre, and surrounded by great bakeries, shops and restaurants. The staff were excellent, really friendly and always helpful. We loved it and would absolutely stay again.

Great location, I was able to walk to the Louve, Museum d'Orsay, the Eiffel Tower, and great shopping. Great night life on St Germain, also walking distance

Although a good hotel, it maybe not what you want if looking for somewhere with that authentic Parisien feel. Could be any soulless hotel in any city. If that doesn't worry you, then its an efficiently run place with very good staaff in an excellent location.

Beautiful modern hotel, very clean rooms and lobby. An amazing location around the corner from two Joel Rubuchon restaurants, Atelier and Cave (he may be best chef in Paris), right across from Metro stop. Very pleasant staff who were fun to be around every time we came or went. The breakfast is really great but not included in room rate and is 26 or 28 euro which is expensive but we still had breakfast a number of times because of convenience and because it was very good in a pretty room. Beds were very comfortable. My wife and I felt it was the nicest hotel we'd stayed in while traveling abroad.

Have stayed here 10 + times over the past 3 years. Probably the best District in Paris-- a perfect combination of local reality, real Parisians doing what they do at home, fine shopping and easy access to Museums, fine dining, and all the charms of the City. Rue de Bac Metro Station is 20 yards from the front door of the hotel, and that gives you quick access to the entire City in minutes. If you are staying fro a few days or more, get a ParisVisite pass or Carte D'Orange pass for the Metro. The hotel is charming, great and knowledgable front desk staff, not too formal but perfect for business or pleasure. It's not the Ritz, but it is up to date, very well maintained, and a perfect home away from home. Explore the neighborhood, and have a great visit.b Can't go wrong here.

I would, without hesitation, recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Paris. It is in an excellent location-very safe, easily accessible to sights, cafes, boutiques and directly across from the Rue du Bac Metro station. The hotel room was very nice--clean, with free internet access, and a friendly and helpful staff. Le Bon Marche, an upscale department store with a fabulous food market, is a ten minute walk away for quick bites to eat. My 14 year old daughter and I loved it!

THe hotel is well situated to walk to the sights without a big price tag. One problem I did have is the breakfast was not included and cost a lot of Euro. Also, the double beds are really two small beds put together. But overall it was a great experience.

I'm a teacher. I don't have much money. I am very cheap on hotels. But the thing about travelocity is when they do packages, they don't tell you how much you are spending for the flight and how much you are spending for the hotel... I had no idea, they created a package that I could afford that included this hotel. It might be the best hotel in the history of life. I LOVED LOVED LOVED it. I was so overwhelmed when I checked in the desk person was like...um... so can I give you anything at all? a map of the city? something? I was was just so estatic to be in Paris... I sort of nodded. The location is EXCELLENT. You could not ask for more. The room was tiny but... miniature perfection even with a view of nothing but the wall of the rest of the hotel. It was a divine view of nothing. It was the best thing ever. At some point um I may or may not have had a new friend over... He ordered us a beer or two and the "waitress" took it up to my room on a silver platter on the elevator. It was all very grand ( the guy was kinda awesome too...) The location is perfect! Walk to the Louvre, Musee D'orsay, the metro is steps from the entrance.... they play up at the website these "heated floors" in the bathroom and I was thinking... I am going in April who cares? Um it was marvelous. Everything about the trip was Divine. I want to go stay there again. It's kind of weird to have to check your bizarro room key in and out when you leave and come back... but also kind of Parisian. STAY IN THIS HOTEL!

We spent 5 nights at the K & K Hotel in Paris and were completely satisfied with the accommodations. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was just across the street from the Rue de Bac Metro Station which made getting around town that much easier. In addition, it was located about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile from the Seine, Louvre and the Musee d'Orsay. Bottom-line, the hotel and its staff helped make our trip a great one!!!!

Excellent location near Metro stop and Bon Marche Epicerie. Helpful staff. Clean, modern, quiet rooms. Best part: free high speed internet in the room made it easy to plan the next day's outings. Bring your laptop. Rooms are small but comfortable.

I stayed at this hotel for five nights in early September of 2008. I was awed by the online pictures of the hotel lobby and modern amenities, and the reviews that I read seemed incredible. And, in fact, the hotel is very lovely. The lobby is stylish, though MUCH smaller than it seems in the pictures, and the rooms are okay, even though they are also much smaller than they appear from the photos. However, I understand that the hotel is in Paris, where rooms are generally smaller than comparable hotels in the states, so I was not surprised or really disappointed by this discrepancy. The real disappointment, in my opinion, was the reception staff. Half of them were downright unfriendly (a stark contrast to the French people I met outside of the hotel who were all extremely friendly and helpful). Also, I read on the hotel website that there is a concierge, which is not true. When I asked where to find the concierge, the person working at the reception desk told me they could handle any bookings that were needed if I brought them the exact tour that I wanted to go on along with the phone number and an internet address if possible! At that point, I realized it would be easier to make all necessary reservations myself. To cap it off, when I was in line to check out, I overheard a couple in front of me ask if the hotel could call a taxi for them. The person at the desk simply replied, "we don't do that." Some kind of concierge! Also, completely unrelated, there were dead bugs in my bed.

Beautiful hotel, very good central and convienent location. Always felt very safe. Staff vas very friendly and helpful with directions, and any questions we had. Almost everyone spoke English--there were no communication problems. Rooms were spacious and clean. We especially loved the bathroom with heated floor!

We upgraded the room, got a top floor room with a great view. The location is perfect, and there are numerous shops close that have practically everything. We loved the heated floors in the bath! We didn't use any of the amenities - we spent the whole time touring. This is not the cheapest hotel in Paris, but it is worth it. We definitely will consider a return trip there!

I stayed here for a week in July 2008. My room was on the top floor with two dormer windows and a view of the Eiffel Tower. The view was totally unexpected and was perfect as I watched the fireworks over the Eiffel Tower on Bastille Day. The front desk staff is wonderful, helpful and very accommodating. Located right in front of the Metro Station it was a very convenient location. There is a small minimarket in the garage next door, good for getting snacks. St. Germain de Pres is right there and you will find many restaurants a two block walk away.

We spent 5 nights at the Cayre on our way in to France and another three at the end of our trip. We were given an upgrade to an executive room for the initial five night stay (I did not ask for this, it was just done). The hotel is in a perfect location in the geographical center of Paris, an easy walk to nearly everything. The Rue du Bac Metro station is 20 meters away. The non-executive room was on the small side but was more than adequate. Wonderful bathrooms with heated floors. There is clear attention to cleanliness and good maintenance. The staff were quite friendly and helpful. Breakfast is overpriced at 25 Euros (about 37) per person. However, the area is full of good cafes and bakeries, so you can have a wonderful cup of coffee and fresh pastry just down the block for about 5 Euros per person. As noted by prior reviewers, the Shell station in the building next door has a "mini market" which can be quite convenient. In sum, a wonderful experience.

Room is too small. Hotel staff are friendly but they can not speak fluent English. I need to learn French better. Hotel wake up call didn't work which can cause missing flight!

The K&K is conveniently located in St Germain des Pres, literally steps away from a major Metro stop and a convenience store, as well as within walking distance to the Louvre, the Orsay, and other major attractions. This was our second stay, the helpful staff, location, and ambience make it worthwhile. As for the rooms themselves, they are meticulously maintained and tastefully decorated . We loved the heated floors in the bathrooms, as well as a bathtub I could stretch out in. Our favorite restaurants in the area were La Petite Chaise (elegant and charming), La Fregate (great first Parisian restaurant, menu has English translations), and La Petit St. Benoit (rustic neighborhood joint - great to meet the locals, not at all touristy).
