My wife and I needed to find a good value, but also a quality room for our getaway and found it in KC Motel. We stayed two nights and enjoyed it. The room looked new, the bed was comfortable and high speed internet was available via a wired connection (bring your own cable). The morning breakfast in the hospitality room was nice (continental fare with items like fresh waffles). Save some money and book your stay at this place!

The room was very clean, comfortable, and had all the basics. We only stayed one night and headed up to Sunrise, which was a short drive away. It was an awesome deal for the price. Highly recommend. However, as other reviews have noted, the room did have an odd smell, but it was not enough to make the stay unbearable.

Having moved from another hotel during this trip after finding ourselves stranded from the recent snowstorm (all hwy's were closed!) I found this hotel to be very clean. The matresses were very comfortable. While the rooms appeared updated, I felt that the hotel lacked in a few areas: I asked about the hot tub room being locked and was informed by the owner that it was closed??? The sign above the hotel that draws you in largely states "HOT TUB". That same sign also stated that they offered HBO yet we didn't have that in our room. At about 9pm the cable went out and we couldn't even get any local stations. The remote control back was broke upon arrival and we had no hot water in the morning. Unfortunately my husband found out a little too late! - after he started showering! The outside ice machine was broken and breakfast was extremely disappointing. They had 3 mini muffins in a large container and some cereal. The coffee was horrible and that was ALL they offered. no yogurt, bagels, fruit, juice, etc.The owner hired a snow plow to plow the lot we were nice enough to help everyone get their cars out of their parking slots (pushing/shoveling) and later on we went and shoveled out the little walkway to get from our door to the actual lot. It is interesting to see the owners kitchen from your room - they all looked so warm and cozy having their meal, while we couldn't watch tv or get ice! It would be good to get some shades so that your guests don't see your HUGE plasma screen t.v. while we are crammed into a small room with no cable service and a heater that only has 2 settings Low and Burn!

You get what you pay for if you chose the standard single queen bed room. The room is very small and there is little room for luggage. The room was very clean though. The free breakfast is overrated yet there is a McDonals down the road. The heater has two settings (1) off and (2) Hell. Consistantly had to wake up to turn off and on the heater. It was very cheap and will likely stay there again if I can get into a larger room.

Driving into the property, we were impressed by the clean, tended look of the buildings and landscaping. We were checked in by the manager, X, who was a riot and a real fountain of information. Our room was spotless and beautifully appointed--nice polished furnishings, luxurious carpet, and big to boot. The king, four-poster bed was very comfortable--my wife noted that she thought she was in her bed at home when she woke up. The hot tub and spa were very nice, and the continental breakfast offered waffles, pastries, fruit, cereals, etc. etc. We wholeheartedly recommend this property. It was at least * dollars cheaper that the chain motels across the road. The manager seemed to be just about everywhere, making sure that his guests were happy with their accomodations. We more than got our money's worth and will stay there again...so will all our friends, if they're smart..
