This hotel is breathtaking. The pool area lends itself to relaxing lazy days, enjoying tropical drinks and beautiful weather. The staff goes above and beyond- anticipating your needs, and always with a smile. I only hope my travels take me to Medan again. I can't say enough good things about this hotel.

For an alleged 4 star hotel this is barely acceptable. AC does not work.Getting ice is like pulling teeth.Breakfast buffet is very poor.Great location and beautiful view

I travel to Medan every other month for month for business and I would never think of staying anywhere but the JW! I used to stay at an unnamed competitor but after my first stay at the JW I realized the rooms here are larger and the service is incredible. There are several fantastic restaurants to choose from and at the end of the night my favorite spot in Medan is the Prime Bar. Thank you Mr. Marriott for opening such an amazing hotel!

The hotel, after an amazing oranghutan hike, was a welcome home and respite. Rooms are spacious, staff are friendly and accomodating, the pool is clean without chlorine (saline?), and the spa/massage was the strongest hands ever on a tiny woman.

This hotel is a welcomed addition to the other choices for hotels in the city. The JW Marriott, is a true 5 Star hotel. Don't be fooled by the other hotels in the city claiming to be 5 star, because they are not!! This hotel has a spectacular steak house and the foold is fablous. The all day dining restaurant is good too and very reasonablly priced. The pool has an amazing view on the 16th floor and the fitness center is better than most you see in the USA.

After a long trip, the JW was a welcome sight!! The hotel is brand new and beautiful; the rooms are large and comfy. The gym was one of the best I've seen and room service was top notch!! The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful during my entire 4 day stay. I go to Medan on business, so I will definitely be staying again!

My daughter and I were very pleased with our experience at the Marriott in Medan. It was exactly what we expect of a Western style hotel. Great service, fantastic food (we at at the steak restaurant for dinner and had the breakfast buffet) and the rooms were very clean. It was the perfect place to stay before heading out to more remote places in Sumatra.

I loved this hotel! I do not usually take the time to write reviews but I thought I would take a few minutes to share my opinion.... I loved everything from my room (which was huge!) to my room service to the pool! Nothing but incredible things to say!
