I arrived to check-in and was told by the desk clerk that I needed to provide a credit card because I had a reservation and I hadn’t paid. I protested that I had paid, and reached into my bag to produce the print-out showing that I had paid. Then the request for payment was dropped but at no point did the clerk or her colleague who had come over to sort out what had happened apologise to me for their error. Charing twice for 4 night’s accommodation may nothing to them but it’s a lot of money to me and this clerk seemed happy to deprive me of my money. Jury’s Inn website made great play of a price promise, saying that if I paid more for my room that they would refund the difference. I shopped around (through Hotel Price Bot) and I did get a much better price that was available on Jury’s website. Jury’s are selling the rooms to the discounters, and they know the price they sell at. I was glad that I shopped around and it leaves me feeling cynical about the Jury’s price promise.

Hotel in City CentreThis hotel was bang in the city centre and close to all amenities. Parking at rear of hotel charged at 10.00 overnight for 24 hours although tariff differed from Laterooms quote of £8.50. Can recommend the Walrus Steak House on Nott Road, about 10/15 mins walk. Would visit again for business and lesiure as in easy reach.

Jurys Inn Plymouth 17 & 18 July 2009Hotel facilities excellent considering the cost. Much better than Travelodge in Plymouth as there are common facilities such as a bar and restaurant.Staff all friendly and efficient. Food (breakfast) very good quality, quantity and value (£6.99 for full English and more)

Check the small printOn arrival there was no facility for drop off unless you fancied parking in a bus lane. There was no parking facilities and the receptionist recommended that we use the Staples car park next door to the hotel which costs an additional £10 for 24 hours and for us staying 3 nights put an extra £30 on the cost. Breakfast was an extra £9.99 although id you paid the previous day was only £6.99????????// Perhaps they could cut down on the amount of egg and bacon they purchase if they know in advance how many are participating in breakfast. So on paper what looked like real value for money was actually not the case and I will certainly not be staying there again. When I asked why wasn't the fact that they had no car park facilities clearly marked they said it was but was under "Ameneties" or should I say lack of .

great room..great viewsI am quite picky about hotels. We looked at many hotels but finally settled in for this one as it said it was air-conditioned. In July, it can get hot and stuffy in the rooms. The hotel was really nice and good value for money. We got the room on the top floor with nice views to the seaside. The room wasn't too big but was really comfortable. The best thing is that it looked new and modern. Bathroom was clean and sparkling. The location of the hotel is also quite central, about 3 mins walk to the waterfront..if you take the back gate. And also 2 mins walk to the shopping area. So no issues at all. Will definitely recommend to everyone. Didnt eat at the restaurant as we prefer to explore the joints in town.

Recently stayed at Jury's Inn Plymouth the room was clean and adequate for our stay. The carparking charge in the hotel description states £5.00 per night where in fact it costs £10.00 which inflates the nightly rate. It would have been more convenient to have paid a higher room rate with parking on site included. Breakfast was awful.

Breakfast was surprisingly goodThe Jury's Plymouth is perfectly located. The staff were extremely helpful, the room clean. It was very hot when I was there, the air-conditioning was such a relief. I stay in hotels on a regular basis and am normally disappointed with the buffet breakfast - however, on this occassion I have to say the food was very fresh, being topped up regularly and the sausages were real butchers sausages!! The only downside was finding a parking space and then having to pay £10 for the night!!!

Value for moneythis was a lovely hotel, the reception desk staff were very helpful, the location was perfect. Overall we had a pleasant stay apart from the breakfast which had sat under the heat lamps a lttile too long.

Accommodation and food at this Jury's Inn was excellent. My husband and I stayed at this hotel in order for us to attend a friend's wedding. We couldn't have chosen a better hotel. Location was great and the room we had was good value. The breakfast (which was extra - which I think is fairly normal in these types of hotels) was very good value and tasty.Would certainly recommend this hotel to friends. It was also our first stay in Plymouth and we were very impressed with the area too.

restaurant staff need to get their act togetherHotel itself was good value for money but the restaurant was disorganised and expensive for what it was. in the time we were in there, approx 45 mins, 3 incorrect orders were taken to nieghbouring tables and the restaurant was not partic. busy. Staff need to learn table numbers!!

Great location next to the new Drake Circus shopping Centre and easy walk to the Barbican.Customer service from the Duty Manager was excellent following an unfortunate start to our stay with the daft lift system!

A very clean and modern hotel, right in the centre of Plymouth. Lack of free parking is annoying but you can park for £10 for 24 hours next door to the hotel. The bar and lounge are lively and inviting. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable, fully airconditioned with a good powerful shower in a spacious bathroom. Very good value for money.I work in Plymouth but live in Cornwall so I often want to stay in Plymouth for nights out with colleagues and if no one has a spare room I would always choose Jurys Inn.

Excellent for the priceI would recommend staying here when in Plymouth. The hotel was very good value, clean and well presented. I didn't eat there.
