Excellent stay in a very nice location that has many things to see within walking distance. Staff was great - accommodating to our special requests. Room was very nice...spacious. Unique hotel - nice to get away from the standard chain. Pool was small for the two kids, but it wouldn't prevent me from going back. Went to the upscale bistro on the first floor - EXCELLENT food.

It was very different because of the two rooms andTV and fireplace in each room. Great. Nothing. It was excellent.

I usually stick to chains when choosing a motel/hotel but found this on the internet and decided I wanted to stay here! I needed two rooms because I was taking my children and their friends to the ballet, Sleeping Beauty at the Grand Theatre in May. The price quoted (per room) on the phone was more than I could afford, so I took a chance-I showed up unannounced, on the Saturday of the ballet, and they luckily had two connecting rooms and gave me a GREAT price, per room, so we stayed. I have never stayed in downtown Wausau and I was pleasantly surprised. We had a view of the park and the theater from our rooms. The rooms were REALLY nice, roomy, with extra pillows. The connecting rooms was a must for me with five kids, and boy did we have fun. The pool was very small but there was a hot tub, the decor was nice-plants. The staff was awesome, very friendly. The continental breakfast was held in the restaurant that connected to the lobby and was very nice, well presented and full of nutritious choices as well as danishes. The restaurant was nicely appointed-go and look up at the odd piece of hanging art??? We spent the whole time looking at it and identifying different items used in this piece! We didn't have a chance to eat a lunch or dinner there but the menu had some items I would have liked to try. The mall is RIGHT there, the parking is very convenient, the downtown has been somewhat revitalized with neat shops. The best time I've had in a long time!

This is a great place to stay within walking distance of many different activities in downtown Wausau. The rooms are spacious and very clean. I would like to see a Gideon Bible in each room.

Very nice, clean and friendly. No bell service. Lovely decore, clean and upscale. We had a two room suite w/ two sided fireplace, jetted tub and flatscreen TV. Very pleased.

The Jefferson Street Inn's best asset is the fact that it is located downtown and not along a freeway offramp. I loved being able to walk outside and find a concert or parade or farmers market going on in the square across the street. It was nice to stroll the streets afer our adequate, yet minimal, continental breakfast. I still can't fiqure out why the only fruit available was these unappatizing slivers of mellon or pineaple. It was strawberry season! Maybe they spent all their budget on the overdone lobby decorations. The rooms were clean and comfortable to spend time in. Sleeping was not the best. Pillows were lumpy, bed was a little on the hard side, and the air condition made a racket, but we made it through the 3 nights and were not dying to relocate. In the end we were happy with our stay and despite the lame breakfast and not so comfy bed, we'd stay again to enjoy the nearby shops and park.

The hotel was beautiful. The restaurant at the hotel had excellent food. The gym and pool area were nice and convenient. The hotel exceeded my expectations. It was very nice.

Our two-room suite at the Jefferson Street Inn was very nice. The living area with fireplace, wet bar, microwave, and refrigerator was very clean and comfortable. The bedroom was exceptionally nice with its kingsize bed with extra pillows, fireplace, jetted bathtub, and double vanity. The bathrobes along with the bath salts and loofah were a nice added touch. The continental breakfast was average at best. It was to be served until 10am, but at 9:40am the plates were mostly empty with no attempt to refresh them. A little disappointing. I loved the location of the hotel in that it had a skywalk to shopping and the mall. All in all we had a very nice time and we will definitely visit the Inn again.

I thought the room decor was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. We had to pay for hotel parking, and the fee was even taxed!

The Jefferson Street Inn in Wausau offers a rare slice of European style in the heart of the midwest. What is joy? Staying in two-room jacuzzi suite with a king-sized bed and a wet bar and a microwave for the cost of a typical motel room and then enjoying a reasonably-priced intimate gourmet dining experience in the hotel restaurant. I'll be back!

The beds were extremely comfortable. The rooms were quiet. The pool was small. Excellent service from check in to check out. Nice decor. The continental breakfast had an outstanding selection and food items were promptly replaced. Parking was easy. This hotel is in the heart of downtown Wausau.

From the moment we opened the door to our room to the moment we walked out the front door, everything was excellent: beautifully decorated, clean, friendly, helpful staff, great food, etc. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was very elegant, much more than we needed. We enjoyed our stay very much, although because of other commitments, we were unable to browse the shops around the hotel. Next time!

Wonderful furnishings, Avada products, very friendly service, great breakfast. It cost to park. Area was under construction. I would definately stay here again and I would recomend this to other people.

It was the nicest, most beautiful, luxurious hotel I've been in. Light bulb in sauna was out. Pool area not of this hotel caliber. You have to definitely stay at this hotel. They were all positive superlatives. Most beautifully decorated. Nicest staff. Cleanliest. Most luxurious. Best shampoo products. Awesome location. Room can be divided into two with door for privacy with kids.

Location. Small pool. Overall I thought it was a great place to stay for the price.

The quietness of the room from other rooms used in our area. Ithought the continental breakfast could have had more of a variety. Our stay was great and we would recommend this to all of our friends who travel in this area and we would stay again the next time.

Suite, breakfast, amenities. Older, beginning to show signs of need for renovation. Just fine, comfortable, relaxed (more residential) location. Convenient to Columbia.

This hotel was a good quality place to stay. We were told we did not have to pay for parking and then were charged for parking. When we complained we were not refunded the parking. It is a lovely place to stay, but you must pay for parking.

Very comfortable beds. Restaurant is spendy. This hotel is very comfortable. I've never had a better nights sleep in a hotel. We were right downtown, and couldn't hear the outside noises. This is a must if you want to enjoy the spa right next door.
