My sister and i went for a short break to florence in September 2007. The Hotel jane was a lovely small friendly hotel and excellent value. The only problem we had were the directions to hotel from station. We were told to get the 14 bus for two stops. It is a lot more than two stops as the 14 bus is a circular service so check with the driver. it was pouring with rain when we arrived and as we had got off the bus after two stops and then had to wait for another bus we were soaked and not very happy as hotel had emailed us directions. apart from that hic-cup i would reccomend the hotel as an excellent budget hotel

Although the room was small it was clean and comfortable. It was about a 30 minute walk to I Duomo but many interesting sites to look at along the way. Breakfast was good with an array of cheeses and salamis to choose from. Short walk to the Arno river.

This hotel was plain but comfortable, close to city centre but far enough away to avoid worst of noise. Staff were friendly and helpful. Internet access was available in public area. My only complaints are that the air conditioning was out of order so if the window was left open the room was a bit noisy. Also sound carried a bit between rooms. Breakfast provided by hotel was plain but sufficient but rolls were sometimes a bit stale. Our triple room was spacious enough for me, my husband and our teenage son.It would be better if a few English language TV stations were available.

We did like Hotel Jane. We spent 3 nights in Florence and found Hotel Jane to be a really good place to stay. Hotel is actually a little bit far from the city center, I would say, about 20 minutes walking. But it is clean, breakfast is good (based on the Italian standards), and staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend Hotel Jane to anyone who needs to stay in Florence in a quiet neighborhood and not to spend an enormous amount of money for the hotel.

This hotel is very outdated and out of the way. The price was cheap, but you get what you pay for! It was a short walk to the Duomo, but Florence is quite small comparatively - its a short walk from just about anywhere! The room size was good, but everything was just very old looking (except the nice new TV). The breakfast was typical - breads, meats, cereal. A woman did make coffee and cappuccino. The front desk staff was not friendly. There were some nice clothing stores and little restaurants. But really, you are outside of the more historical part of the city and very far from the train station (18 euros for a taxi). It was not a terrible stay, but I'd stay a lot closer next time.

Staying at Hotel Jane was the highlight of my time in Florence. It is, by far, the cleanest, most beautiful hotel I have stayed in at this price point. I would recommend it to any traveler.

Staff excellent, breakfast average. There is no parking for cars on a Thursday if the garage is full. 20 minutes to the town centre on foot. Quiet hotel. Good public areas for breakfast and watching tv.

They had a parking place right in front of the hotel, great dining suggestions, and large rooms. Would go there again and it's close to all the major places you wish to visit.

We stayed 2 couples in May 2008. Very cosy, hospitable place. Reception personel is very friendly. It's close to historical center. The free parking in front of hotel is very small. We had to find place for parking in nearest blocks.

The hotel is like described however the price difference is kind of not transparent for me. Also if Venere showed a price on the hotel page it was kind of different (cheaper) for some days. In generally nice, supermarcet close, good restaurants also (in a small backyard). Room space is small but o.k. Internet in the "partner hotel" on the other side of the street for free. If you go there by cab you pay around Eur 14 from the train station.

Internet access extremely limited which harms planning. Hotel a little bit of a distance from tourist areas but lower price is an acceptable trade off. I would definitely stay again.

petit déjeuner un peu limité dans le choix pour un 3 étoiles, mais nourriture suffisante. bien situé surtout sans auto , juste à quelques pas du dôme et du centre et du Ponte vecchio. Très chouette hotel pour un court séjour.

Great walking distance to center of Florence, about 25 min leisurely walk. Very attentive server at breakfast with coffee made to your liking. we couldn't adjust the tv vol & we got a knock from the next room guests. The shower was very tiny though. Would come back for its price & closeness to the "action"

We stayed in july and had a plessant stay. We arrived late at about 11.30 pm, but that was no problem at all. Unfortunately the aircondition had made the room very cold and it could not be turned off. But the woman at the reception solve the problem by switching off all aircon at the mainpower switch. The next day we fixed the aircon our selves. Breakfast was OK but not more than that. There are only 3 parking spaces in front off the hotel that are free off charge and in generel parking is not possible in the street after 8 pm. But the hotels garage at 10 euro a night is OK. A bit boring location but in generel Florenze isnt larger than you can walk every where. The only bad thing was the pour understanding an speaking off english in the reception. Otherwise good value for money!
