I was very pleased with this Jameson Inn. I don't think I'd stayed at one before so it was a pleasant surprise. The beds were very comfortable. I enjoy hotels/inns that offer a variety of pillows- each a different firmness. In this case they offered three per bed. I was able to get comfortable and sleep well before an important conference. Although it says the hotel is pet friendly, i did not notice any signs of previous four legged guests. I also did not have to contend with any smoke smells (uber important for non-smokers). The room was clean, tidy and spacious enough for two women packed for a week on the road. The internet was working well. The staff was friendly and even assisted me with some of my conference materials! The hotel has a variety of eating establishments adjacent and there is an outlet mall within a few miles as well. It is about 15-20 minutes from downtown Birmingham depending on traffic. Only complaint : no early check in. I'd been traveling for hours when I got there.

We were in town to help our daughter move. The location was close to their new home and was perfect for what we needed. I asked for handicap accessible and it was. It was easy to get into--not much walking necessary-- and the bathroom bars were very helpful. The complimentary breakfast was very nice and gave you many choices for a nice breakfast.

Friendly and clean. Gap in door. Overall I would recommend this hotel to others. The staff was outstanding in every way!

This is a very cute Jameson Inn and the location is perfect for anyone traveling through Alabama. However, we had requested non-smoking rooms only to find that the management allows smokers to use non-smoking rooms when smoking rooms are not available. Our rooms reeked of cigarette smoke. The Inn has outside entrances and it wouldn't be impolite to ask smokers to step outside their room to light up. However, if the smokers stand too close, the smoke will come through the vents of the window air conditioning. Unless they change their policy of making all rooms non-smoking, we won't be back.

I feel that the breakfast menu could have also included boiled eggs. Martha, at the front desk, was simply marvelous. My reservation had not been forwarded to the hotel. She personally contacted those in charge to insure my reservation was properly recorded and forwarded without further delay.

Good quality for the price. Good value. A little too close to the highway for noise purposes. Upon arrival, staff was very friendly. Room was clean, and very acceptable.

I don't travel alot, but when I do I want a good price, clean room and close to a variety of eating establishments. I got all. The room was clean with lots of room to move about. I had a king room and in addition to the bed there was a small table with 2 chairs and a desk with desk chair. Even if I would have had a traveling companion, there still would have enough room without us being on top of each other. The staff was very courteous and accommodating. The continental breakfast was more than adequate and even had biscuits and sausage gravy. I will definitely stay again.

Jamison Inn was okay, only stayed their because it was the only hotel in the area that accepted pets, beds were very hard but came with a lot of pillows, ashtray in room was dirty but it was behind the window curtain so I guess the staff missed it when cleaning room. The staff was very friendly and helpful in giving us directions around town and places to go see.

Internet worked, nice staff. Carpet was stained, lobby needs repairs from recent flood. Wireless internet worked great, good selection of television channels to watch, bathrooms very small. Maintenance was very quick to take care of phone problem. Had problems with room card keys every day. Had a continental style breakfast ready by 5:00 a.m. which was good for the early riser.

"The staff was exceptionally accomodating despite my late evening,or should I say early am arrival. The room coffee was stale, like it had been there forever. I selected this room over others because it stated full breakfast, however, it was continental at best. Room was clean, well kept. Many restaurants nearby. I would stay there again."

Only real complaints were the coke machine was empty and the coffee was crummy! But not bad otherwise.

Clean, breakfast and the location was perfect. Toilet flushes a little loud. Good stay and it met my expectations. Great location close to many restaurants etc.

"I stayed 2 nights at this Inn. The room was clean and comfortable but a little pricey since they do not have an ironing board, iron or coffee maker. When I checked out I left 3 books. They cannot find my books and after 4 days I'm still getting the run-around. i would not stay here again."

The room had an old oder. A lot of the appliances did not work properly or just didn't work at all. For example the hair dryer button wasn't working where you could control it, the coffee pot was broke and the refrigerator smelled. I have allergies to smoking and to mold and mildew. So needless to say, I wasn't feeling very well the next morning. I've had another experience with this same hotel in Panama City, Fl. Do they not know what clean is? Oh yes, the old chair in the room should have been trashed a long time ago.

Location & choice of items on free breakfast. Lack of ice in machine & toilet flushing. This was okay but would have liked an indoor pool and hot tub for relaxing. Loved the corner room that we had but parking near room was non-existent.

I liked the location being near the on and off ramp and in walking distance of restaurants. No complaints. I thought the hotel was convenient and very accomodating for my stay. It was well kept and in good shape. The staff was also very helpful. I would recommend it for a stay to anyone.

Everything was good. Nothing. Staff was very friendly. Hotel was everything and more than I expected.
