Clean room, but the bathroom drain did not drain on the 1st room we were put in and in the 2nd room it was very little better. Shopping for furniture was great.

I liked the continental breakfast included. The room was not as clean as I would have liked. There was something that looked like blood on the bathroom door.

I have not previously stayed at a Jameson Inn but I was very pleased with this experience. The room was very well appointed with a great bed and the people were friendly and helpful. I was especially surprised by the breakfast. Overall a very good experience.

Don't go during a holiday! Fill-in staff was rude at checkin - I was the customer & booked 3 rooms & they argued with me that they gave my room away. No towels in one of 3 rooms, minimal in other 2. No working bathroom overhead lights there either. No beds made until 3rd day of stay. Staff called 1st day to ask if we could give them dirty towels to launder as they didn't have enough in full hotel, but didn't refill towels they took. Told me to come back later for towels and argued when I did. 3 pillows for 4 people. Room keys expired every 12 hours for 4 days. Breakfast buffet not checked to regularly to refill and people checking out kept her from refilling.

It was nice enough for a business traveller but probably not somewhere to stay on vacation. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean but breakfast was not that great.

This motel was actually better than we anticipated. Upon arrival, the clerk changed our room to better suit our request. Once arriving in the room, very nice, clean and efficient. At this price, I was actually surprised to see a coffe pot, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and several other items. The room was a bit small, but well worth the money spent. If you're traveling on I-40 and need to stop for the night, I HIGHLY recommend the Jameson Inn in Hickory, NC.

I like the layout design of the room. No elevator for luggage. It was extremely convenient, right off the interstate.

Terrible ordeal with a hotel that is supposed to be pet friendly. My two service dogs got very ill. Hotel was dirty, no maid service and staff was rude, rude, rude. Tried to charge for service dogs which is against the law. Had to pay over * in vet bills to save the life of one of the dogs. This hotel did not care.

The staff was super-friendly and very responsive to all my needs. The room was very clean except for the carpet. The bottom of my socks were nearly black with dirt from walking on the carpet in the room. It seems like that's the case with any hotel (even ritzy ones); I guess they never clean carpets.

Great hotel, friendly staff, comfortable beds, extremely clean room and facilities, super continental breakfast (waffles, sausage, bagels, muffins, cereals, juices, etc), large dining area just off main lobby, quiet location, highly recommend to anyone traveling in this area!!

We stayed here for a short 2 day trip to the mountains. It was a good hotel. The room was of decent size with basic eminities and HBO on TV. The room was also clean and well maintained. For the price, this was a good stay

Convenient location right off of the interstate. One very unfriendly staff member. This Jameson is clearly meant for travelers staying a single night. More a motel than a hotel, the Jameson Hickory is of an older design with exterior corridors and exterior staircases. While it does feature a pool and wireless internet, the WiFi was spotty. When it was operable it provided a slow connection, but a connection nonetheless. The front desk staff when I checked in was amply pleasant, however on check out, a different staff member was difficult, brusque to the point of rudeness, and left me with a bad opinion of the hotel. Overall it was a quiet, comfortable room. A breakfast buffet is offered which we did not take advantage of, and each room features a micro fridge, other than that, amenities are your standard - TV and coffee maker. No notepad, no pens, just bare bones.

The Jameson Inn was a very nice hotel. The room was very comfortable and roomy. I enjoyed my stay very much. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to any one who is visiting in that area.

Everything about the motel was pretty good. Location was great , near the wedding , near all food and shopping areas. The motel was rather new so it was clean and the staff who clean were excellent. We had trouble with motel clerk one day, rather grumpy but everyone has a bad day. She was better the 2nd day. Found everything to be really nice, nice experience.

Cleanliness, location, COMFORTABLE beds! Pool not open. Hotel was great! Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, no smells, bathrooms clean. Only downfall was my kids (traveling with 6) were extremely disappointed that the pool wasn't open. Expected it to be as all other hotels in area did have open pools expect ours.

The grandkids loved spending the late afternoon at the pool. The pool was well kept.
