First room they sent me to, the bed was not made up. I was switched to a new room but it has bugs in the bathroom. The parking lot had large roaches and they were near the doors also. When I told staff they said they would let the exterminator know.

Convenient to the interstate. One of the locks were insecure.

Front desk staff checked us in efficiently. Room was clean. Breakfast had belgian waffles that you make yourself--my kids really like them. We were passing through on a trip, so did not use the pool or fitness equipment. Area felt very safe.

We stayed at the Jameson Inn while visiting relatives in a town nearby. There aren't a whole lot of hotels to choose from in Jasper so we chose this one randomly. They were very accommodating when we asked for a room change with a refrigerator. The room was fairly clean and was cleaned each day. They have a nice free continental breakfast with Belgian waffles. We enjoyed this because most of the breakfast places in Jasper are "greasy spoons". The only complaint that we had was when the battery in our smoke detector died at 10:00 pm and it started chirping. We called the front desk and she said that she would check to see if they had any batteries and if they didn't we would need to go buy one ourselves! She was apparently the only one on duty that night! Although we did not swin in the pool (the weather was cold) it looked pristine. For the price we felt that it was a good deal.

Rooms open to outside walk-ways. Easy walk to Cracker Barrell & Waffle House & I think it was Applebee's. Breakfast was cook your own waffles, cold cereal, breads with gravy for the biscuits.

Clean and centrally located. Over all very good hotel. They have the best beds and are always clean and no bugs ever. They are very helpful and always courteous.

Front desk was friendly and precise. There was not even a shower cap in the room, only coffee. Free breakfast means you cook and prepare yourself. I requested smoking, received non smoking. There was no information about check in or out time, nor was there any informaiton about food services, front desk assistance or anything about the hotel that most travelers look for when they enter a hotel. This is the only hotel I have ever stayed in that had absolutely nothing to offer the customers. I don't remember even seeing an ironing board, no shower cap and only two bars of soap, one extra roll of bath tissue. The overall experience did not meet our standards at all, and I do not plan on ever staying there again. If you book a room, you had better find out about the amenities before you pay your money.

Everything was very nice for our stay except for that the pool was closed for the winter. It was in the 80/90's while we stayed and would have liked the use of the pool. If only the motels in AL could hold off untill the Nascar wknd in Talladega is over before they close their pools.Very clean, nice rooms. Staff was friendly too.

We have had consistent experience with this hotel for several years. It is conveniently located, very clean, close to restaurants and shopping. The staff is efficient and friendly.

Lack of cleanliness. Blood stains on the bed sheets. I turned down the bed that night to find the sheets with blood stains on them.

The staff were friendly and helpful.....the room was clean except for the chair in the room which had a stain on it (possibly blood stain that's what it looked like to me).....people knocked on the door all night long while we were trying to sleep and even when we weren't trying to sleep...guess they had the wrong room....i was scared they were going to try to come in our room....people from the room next to us were outside talking really loud very early in the morning and very late at night.....but the hotel was in a good location with nice restaurants within walking distance and close to alabama adventure but i was still very happy to leave the next morning

I was there on business, and it was a great place to stay.

The pool was nice. Coffee and cup flooding the microwave, wet dirty nasty carpet. I was not happy to find coffee and a cup left in the microwave that someone spilled and left. Housecleaners did not clean it before I checked in. The carpet was wet and when I walked crossed it barefoot, me feet turned black. Very gross. The person at the desk said they would have someone take a look at it but no one ever did. The girl who came to clean the microwave on the second day I was there was nice.

Very pleased with our Room. Pool was great fun for the kids.3/4 of the fitness room was broken.Check in was very easy. The lady who checked us in managed a smile because my humorus behavior forced it from her! My pet peve with any hotel is communication. 2 towels won`t cut it for a family of 4! Hotel is perfectly situated between Visionland and Tannehill State park. The Gallaria is 15 min. down 459(exit 13). Restaurants are within walkin distance. We`ll be back!

This was our second and last stay at this hotel. We gave it another try. The bathroom was not cleaned from previous guest, room was not vacuumed, and management was notified. We were told that it would be done when we returned from an outing. We were gone 3 hours, returned and the room had not been touched. The night manager came to the room to clean and apologized. We checked in around 3pm, out and returned at 10pm. The bathroom was very dirty.

I have never stayed in such a horribly dirty room in my life. Had my 9 year old and I arrived earlier than 12am after driving for 9 hours, I would have demanded my money back and left immediately. That was only after finding most of the counter-tops sticky and the alarm clock covered in some thick mess. The next morning was even more revolting as, after my son kicked a used fork from under one of the beds, we found more of a previous guest's used picnic items along with AAA batteries, dirty socks and a few other seriously gross things under the beds. It was obvious that no one had been properly cleaning the room which leaves the rest of the room in question. After seeing one of the front desk women in painted on blue jeans instead of a proper uniform, it is quite obvious that this location is without proper management. Once a manager is in place to reign in the disgusting sloppiness that is taking place, this hotel might be redeemed. Also, the hotel is listed as having a continental breakfast as early as 530am. There was nothing to be found in the lobby as of 730am except for coffee. We visited the lobby twice before 9am to make sure we hadn't missed it the first time, to no avail.

The room was clean and comfortable. The check in was o.k. but the young lady checking me in could use a personality check!

The Jameson Inn Birmingham Bessemer at Bessemer, Alabama was adequate for providing a place to stop and rest for the night. Although the furnishings were worn (visibly worn spots on the bedding and arm chair, carpet), it was clean, and the vanity area was roomy. It was was within walking distance to several restraunts. Parking was adequate.

"this was just a weekend getaway for pregnant couple before baby, price was reasonable and room was very nice and comfortable"
