Excellent resort with spacious and thoughtful design. A bit far from the strip, but this could be positive or negative.

Decided to stay off the strip this time, and very glad we did. Room was great with a fantastic view of the strip way off in the distance. It is relaxing but still close enough to the strip to venture out if you feel like it. Marriott is always consistant and this hotel/resort is no exception. Good mix of guests from couples to families. Great staff, clean rooms, and like all marriotts...great beds! The pool is also a great feature and there is decent shopping near by. This is the place to stay...get all the fun of Vegas while being far enough away from the crouds to actually relax and enjoy yourself. I honestly can't even imagine ever wanting to stay anywhere else when i go back to Las Vagas.

I was dissapointed with this resort, upon check in at 2am the clerk told us he had a great room for us, it was 2 doubles not one king as requested no patio or balcony and the decor in room did not depict what marriott shows on their web site. for a addl * dollars a day room changed to have a patio but decor still old not as shown on website. rooms were clean and roomy. The worst let down was the gym on website looks great, but that gym is * a day to utilize which is not documented on web site. the gym for free is in a guest room with 4 pieces of broken equipment, dark dingy . i took alot of time to choose this resort and i feel the website misrepresents alot of items. food was okay , several choices. grounds were beautiful. If i went again i would stay down the street at red rock casino for the same amt of money.

The JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa, Las Vegas, Nevada is located outside the city centre just in between the hot places of Vegas and the incredible nature scenes of Red Rock Canyon. The staff, in particular in fitness and Spa was just great.

Beautiful, clean, romantic and also family friendly. Having to leave! Loved this hotel and would definitively return again.

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel several times while visiting grandchildren and will be there in April. On setting foot in the hotel, I was astounded to find the superb architecture and decor. We learned that it was originally built by Europeans and that was explanatory. This property is one of the finest we've stayed in-good service, good food, great grounds. I truly don't ujnderstand any complaints in other reviews. It is between 4 and 5 stars and competes favorably with places we've stayed in the U.S., Europe and the Caribbean. Sincerely yours, Richard S. Kochan

My husband and I arrived 3 days early prior to my 3 day business conference. The accommodations were far above what we expected! Ceiling fans, best hotel bathroom ever (rain shower head and huge room) clean, registration staff was incredible. A refreshing break from the strip. Rented a car and drove back to The Strip for 2 shows, no problems. Morning traffic back to airport during the week is slow, so plan accordingly. Disappointed in restaurants on site, but lots of options nearby. Access to Red Rock Canyon was great and well worth the drive just a few miles west. Would highly reccomend and will stay here again as opposed to hectic pace of The Strip.

The rooms are large and the bathrooms with the double wirlpool are amazing. The pool is big and not as crowded as the ones in the strip hotels. Is very family friendly. Excelent if you are traveling with kids. The staff at the front desk is not very helpful.I went a day ahead to register and they offered a certain room and even gave me the number and at the arrival time they gave me something else. offered cour view and gave me parking lot view....

Courteous service. Some aspects of the room were outdated (e.g. TV). This hotel is nice - the restrooms are lovely with a two person Jacuzzi tub. Their 24 hour cafe had decent food. The pina coladas they served in the casino were very tasty - probably the best gambling drink I've had in a casino in quite a while. My biggest critique is that the TV in the room was pretty outdated, and they should have actual refrigerators instead of coolers.

This resort is only 15 minutes from the Strip in Vegas, but it seems worlds away. Once you enter the grounds all you can hear are the peaceful sounds of waterfalls and cicadas, the smell of pine trees drowns out the smog and cigarette smoke of the rest of Vegas and you can actually walk into your hotel room without winding your way through thousands of slot machines. But don't get me wrong... if you like the night life of Vegas it's only a 15 minute drive away (and the majority of the casinos on the Strip have free parking) or you can take the free shuttle that the hotel runs. Go and have your fun on the Strip and then come back here and enjoy the feeling of a Mediterranean resort and completely forget you're in the middle of the desert. The rooms were large and beautiful, with french doors that could open up outside. The bathroom was all marble, and every room has a large jacuzzi bathtub. There's several restaurants on-site (which were very good - The 24-hour Starbucks was a great addition, and the Irish pub was rocking with live music in the night ), but there's also a shopping district less than a mile away that mas many restaurants in it as well. The pool was nice - not as big as I'd imagined it would be (for the size of the resort anyway.... but it wasn't very crowded, so it was fine- and they do have pool-side drink service so you can relax to your heart's content. There's a casino on the property, so you can get your gambling fill. Actually, unless you're dying to hit the Strip there's no real reason why you'd even have to leave this property. We will be back!

This is a great off-the-strip hotel with every necessary amenity. There are several restaurants on-site, offering lots of variety, including a 24 hour Starbucks! There is a large variety of dining and and shopping options within a few minutes. There is a casino onsite. The rooms were spacious and clean, and had all the little extras one would expect from a 5 star resort; robes, coffee maker, fridge etc.The pool is huge with pool-side bar/snacks and lounge chair service! It was great! This is a wonderful place to stay. I would recommend to anyone if you like Vegas but don't like the congestion of the strip. The nightlife is close enough, but you choose when to deal with the traffic and the crowds.

The Marriot is beautifully located to allow you access to all the excitment of Las Vegas and still provide a quiet and relaxing atmosphere when you want to get away from the lights. Tremendous staff and accomadations.

Everything at your fingertips. Pricey room service. This was a lavish treat and a great time was had by my whole family. If you drive to Vegas, I'd recommend this place to anyone, even with small kids. You're away from the strip enough to really feel like you are getting away, but if you feel like doing anything you would in a strip hotel you can do it here. Sports book, all casino games, slots, 5* restaurants, buffet, 24 hrs diner (thanks for the shrimp cocktail). Great place.

The JW Marriott Las Vegas is a great place to stay. This was a quick getaway before my husband deploys. The breakfast buffet was the best start to our day. It was included with our room rate. Our 11 and 4 year olds loved the pool area. It is also close to Target, CVS pharmacy (in case your child decides to get a stomach ache from so much excitement and flare up of eczema in the Nevada sun) and many great restaurants. Starbucks is a great convienance in the hotel. We loved it and plan to return as soon as my husband returns from deployment next year!

The J.W Marriott resort is a beautiful hotel/casino/spa/golf coarse. It is well worth the price. This hotel is smoke free. The bath tub had whirlpool jets. And the showerhead sprayed down from the ceiling. It was wonderful. The pool area was gorgeous. This hotel is about 20 minutes from the strip, but the hotel has its own casino which was very nice. The room had a walk-in closet and included to clean robes, safe, ironing board, and two suitcase stands. The room was beautifully decorated. I can not wait to go back. The staff treated us very well. There is a food court that included a Starbucks.
