I was there for a conference. The staff was professional for the most part but did not go out of their way to accommodate me. The food was great tasting but highly salted. [...] was the best server of all the restaurant servers. Apparently they get flooding a lot as there were mold odors in the air. I was appalled that the wireless internet was not free. I was appalled the restaurant served unfiltered water which is the infamous Florida sulfur water. It was a mixed bag for me but not really a 5 star hotel for me. I would however, stay there again...

Amenities were fabulous (pool, shops, andStarbucks). More shaded areas would be great. I stayed at this hotel while on a business trip. I would definitely come back with my family. The pool and lazy river are beautiful. It was relaxing yet seemed very family friendly. Starbucks and the casual cafe are great additions to this property.

The hotels staff told us we could eat at anywhere on the property for the "kids eat free" package we purchased. This was not true. We ate at "Primo" and were told later that they did not honor the program. For breakfast only the buffet at Primo was offered for the kids free but the adult cost was $25 per person. The for was not good and very expensive. Be careful of this offer and get the facts straight first would be my advise.

i was excited about visiting this location after reading the other reviews. we stayed here for six nights and it was the best experience i have had at a hotel. the hotel is rather expensive but you definitely get your money's worth. the rooms are large and bathroom are even larger with a separate shower. the lazy river, food, shops, service, and all other amenities of the hotel were exceptional. we visit florida each year and, after staying a several different disney properties, this is our new florida 'spot'.

We really enjoyed the lazy river and pool. We were on visiting for a weekend but will definitely come back. Overall experience was great except the outside pool dining experience - the flies enjoyed the meal more than we did.

Excellent pool, lobby and restaurants. Hotel beds were too soft and need to be replaced. The hotel staff stated that they were working on getting new bed in the near future. This resort was off the beaten path, but was an excellent place to stay activities with various activities to do. It was pricey to get to Disney and Sea World as the hotel uses town cars that have steep minimum charges.

Our family of 4 loved the hotel. The restaraunts were a bit pricey, but to be expected at such a nice resort in Orlando. The room was nice, the bathroom very spacious with both a tub and a shower. The staff were all rather friendly and accomadating. The breakfast buffet is awesome with so much good fresh food. The outside restaraunts were clean and had great food and drinks. The lazy river pool was fun. They also offered free scuba lessons and had a kids area. There were free and low priced kids activities at poolside every day. Our view was supposed to be a lake view, but not so impressive. If given a choice, go for the pool view. There was contruction across the road and the view was ok, but not worth paying extra for. We walked through the conference center on the way out and found the conference rooms to be spacious and inviting. The beds were soft and clean. in room safe was nice too. We would stay here again.

Very clean, friendly environment and staff, suitable for all ages. Limited food offerings/restaurants for younger children. Conveniently located to Orlando theme parks; available shuttles.

Stayed Christmas 2007, Laor Day weekend 2008, October 2008...hotel is spectacular. Rooms were spotless and I loved the Citron Restaurant. Primo Restaurant certainly is not family oriented....Menu is too Noveau....but they have STARBUCKS...and a nice sandwich shop. HINT! The best place for lunch is in the Restaurant at the Golf Course....I also spent time at the Ritz Pool Bar...love the JW

My family and I vist Disney World once or twice a year(For Chirstmas and Spirng Break) and we always came back to JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes the past 3 years. It about 9 or 10 miles away from the Orlando International Airport. It's a great hotel for families. The room service was fast and great and my kids loved the pool. My husband and wanted to go out to dinner by ourselfs so we hired a babysitter that the hotel provides.(i forgot how much we payed for the babysitte) but my family and i had a GREAT time.

My wife and I stayed at the JW Marriott during Christmas, 2008. All of the reviews seemed great, but our stay wasn't exactly like we expected. The hotel is beautiful, and the staff is very helpful. We had 4 problems with the hotel. The first was our bed was so used that their was a hump in the middle. Another problem was 1 day, nobody came to clean our room. Another was the restaurant, Primo, served my wife raw squid, when it was supposed to be cooked. The water they served us, just regular free water, was so disgusting that we had no choice but to order the illegally-priced bottled water. My wife, being from Japan, knows about raw food, and she felt very sick afterwards. The brasserie was where we ate the most, and it was fine. My last complaint was on our last day, at the buffet breakfast, the waiter was non-existent, so we had to serve ourselves. At least he felt so bad that he didn't charge us (even though we had already paid for the breakfast in the package). When I spoke to a manager, he did apologize. As a final tip, do not pay the $20 to rent the bike. It was a big waste of money for the 20 minutes riding.

I stayed at the JW Marriott in Orlando for a professional meeting located on the grounds. I was a bit leary since some of the Marriotts I have stayed at are rundown and not very enjoyable. This hotel was not at all like those others in anyway. The lobby is gorgeous, the rooms were large and comfortable, the restaurants were very good and reasonably priced for a hotel. The lobby bar also had great sushi and drinks. The entire hotel must be fairly new and didn't appear to need renovation anywhere. Finally, the staff was great--well trained, helpful and friendly.

Beautiful facilities. It's ridiculous for the hotel to charge $16/night for selft parking and $16/night on internet.

I wanted to go to Sea World for my birthday, so I planned a trip to Orlando. All I wanted in my hotel was a fabulous pool, so I could lay out and tan, and go to Sea World. I found my hotel on Travel agency, and noticed it had a lazy river pool, so I booked it.. When the shuttle dropped me off at the hotel, I could not believe my eyes. What an awesome place! The grounds were absolutely gorgeous, and perfectly manicured. I felt like I was in a fairy land. My room was spotless and I had an incredible view. The staff was friendly and very willing to assist me with information regarding transportation, restuarants, and theme parks. I loved it here and will definely return in the future. And, I loved the pool!

Unlike most Orlando travelers, we did not come for the amusement parks, but rather a getaway to relax and recharge. The Marriott met all of our expectations and more! The pool area is better than most caribbean all-inclusives we've been to. The location keeps you out of the heavy traffic we've encountered in Orlando before. We highly recommend this resort!
