Enjoyed the J.W. Marriot.

Convenient location and nice rooms. Cost of parking was $30/day and internet was $15/day.

We purchased a package deal with night/ 4 tickets to aquarium or zoo/ breakfast for 4. They didn't have the tickets to aquarium when we checked in, and when we went to have breakfast, 56 was charged to our room, it appeared that no one who worked there had an idea about the package I purchased via the internet, thank goodness for receipts! The restaurant is in the physical facility of the hotel, but a Don Shula steakhouse, seemed completely separate when you tried to deal with one or the other. We had toilet problems in our room, after waiting 6 hours for someone to come, the 2 fellows who did come(who were great) couldn't fix the problem. Had to pack up and move to another room. Bigger room, which was nice, but very noisy, by the elevator shaft on the 30th floor :( Unfortunately we wouldn't stay there again. Pool area very crowded, especially during the times of limited sunlight on the pool area, and no pool service (room service, drinks, lunch, etc.). There are too many choices out there. Keep looking

The staff was very friendly and helpful. As I had never been to the area before, they gave me great tips. My room was very clean, beautiful and quiet on a higher floor. I was within walking distance to great sites, restaurants and nightlife too.

The room was quiet, the view was great and the bed super comfortable. We were on the 24th floor and it took 10 minutes to get hot water out of the shower. The room was quiet, the view was great and the bed super comfortable. The amenities, were good: fitness center and Shula's restaurant on premises. Cons: Valet parking at $32 was not cheap and no free internet.

was ok... nice, even... just not as nice as a JW should be

The hotel was beautiful, clean, centrally located and we felt safe. Our room, unfortunately was located near the elevators and did not stop all night. There was no fan in the bathroom so we had no white noise to cover the comings and goings of other guests. The concierge was very helpful. The hotel restaurant was very pricey and had nothing to offer a middle class budget. All in all we had a wonderful time.

Beautiful facility. The desk attendant at checkout was very rude! This is a lovely facility. 99% of the staff was very helpful and extremely kind. We will look forward to staying at this facility in the future!

Location of hotel was great, right near French Quarter and lots of attractions. We were able to walk or take the trolley to most locations that we were interested in for our first trip to New Orleans. Room by pool was noisy, so we switched rooms to a room over the street/trolley line, which was also noisy but less so, but being in the center of the city, noise is to be expected. Overall great experience.

Great location. Cost of parking. My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel for the six days that we were in New Orleans. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The price and location was excellent. We will definitely stay there again.

When I arrived to check in I was asked for a form of payment and that they were going to hold 50 on the account until I checked out. I've been to hotels that had done this before and I received the money back in my account promptly. Unfortunately, early the morning of check out I received a bill under my door saying they had charged to my card an additional 130 in taxes, extra occupants, and for parking. From what I understood when booking all my taxes has been previously paid and the reason I chose this hotel in the first place was because they didn't have an extra charge for more than two people. (It does say in the fine print that they can charge this fee, but most other hotels charge it up front, and stupid me assumed if there was a charge that it would have been in there already too). I was just surprised to find out that I had paid over 350 for one night in a hotel less than 75 miles from my house. I would have just driven back and forth--can't say this often, but gas would have been cheaper! Beds were very comfortable and staff was friendly--just wanted to warn everyone that what you pay to travel agency isn't near what you pay all together.

We spent most of our time seeing the sights of New Orleans. Lots of fun and food within walking distance or could catch the trolley. Only one block up to Bourbon Street..so right there but nice and quiet where hotel was so could rest of for the next fun day!

Location, French quarter, garden district, streetcar stop.

This hotel was in a good location - within walking distance (several blocks) of Bourbon Street. Pretty comfortable and roomy. I liked the fact that the bathroom was separate from the vanity area. There were some minor elevator problems with one elevator working the first day of my stay. If you like to take the stairs, then you could only go down to the eight floor and then you had to take the elevator the rest of the way down. Otherwise, the stairwell takes you on a bit of a maze and leads you directly to an outside back exit - a bit odd. Concierge could have been a bit more friendly. Overall, a decent hotel for the $$.

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Parking was $35 a day. Hotel is within walking distance to Riverfront and French Quarter. St Charles streetcar and Canal Streetcar pickups are very close to hotel. Room was very clean, staff friendly, and great location.

I was very happy the moment I walked in the hotel. The front-desk person was very nice. They gave us the best room in the hotel. It was a corner room overlooking canal street. I could also see the surrounding waters nearby. I felt like I was living in a condo. It was so clean and the bed was very very nice and soft. I have been to NYC and the hotel there are okay but this was the best we have ever been in. I like being close to Bourbon Street and French Quarters. Everything was walking distance. If you have been to NYC than you would not mind walking the short distances. Everything you needed in the room was there. Except the Microwave oven. The widescreen 42 TV was the best. Our last night in the room was great we just stayed there and brought food up. I will stay here again again again.
