A good base for exploring the lake district.Nice quiet B&B within walking distance of lake, shops and pubs.

Late booking bargainWe booked this as a last minute stop off on our way to Loch Lomond on our honeymoon. What a lovely place. Great four poster room, excellent service and breakfast was lovely. We will definitely stay here again if we get the chance and would recommend this accomodation to our friends and family. Spa bath was great as was all the attention to detail.

Ivyfhwaite lodge superb! go back any time.A lovely guesthouse,rooms decorated to a high standard and the four poster beds aren't just for show,they are so comfortable.Mick is so friendly and Wendy's breakfasts are superb!My wife and i had a lovely weekend for our first wedding anniversary

Extremely friendly hosts, exceptional value for money & situated in an ideal location, close to numerous bars & restaurants. The guest house was extremely clean & comfortable. Good quality breakfast & generous portions. We received far more than we expected from a guest house - eg. jacuzzi bath. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this guest house to anyone & intend to stay again in the near future.

Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Mick is extremely entertaining and if you ask him nicely, he'll play you an Elvis tune.Great proximity to Windermere and Bowness, and all the local eateries.Would we book again ? - Most definitely.

A great hotel with friendly staff and good service with a smile (even despite the slight Faulty Towers Moment) on arrival - Great place would recommend and wil definatly return

We saw the room with the wooden beams on the web page, its a really nice quiet room, with 2 dressing areas and a very large spa bath.

How was the food or restaurant? Was the hotel easy to get to? Give us your personal opinion on the hotel, and use this as an opportunity to give other guests invaluable information on the quality of this hotel.A very pleasant stay. Comfortable rooms with luxury jacuzzi baths. Owners need to spend a little more time ensuring that every individual guest understands the operation of the baths or accidents may happen. Breakfast was excellent, both service standard of service and quality of food.

Really enjoyed our visit to the Lake District, helped alot by staying at this excellent lodge!. Rooms were superb, comfortable beds and the spa bath was absolutely fantastic. Definitely recommend this accomodation (maybe more suitable for couples) and will come back and stay again. Good location as well, halfway between Bowness and Windermere so everything in walking distance. Owner was very friendly/helpful as well.

This Guesthouse is fantastic! I really can't praise it enough. The bedrooms are beyond gorgeous and the baths are out of this world! The owners, Wendy and Mike, could not be more helpful and friendly. So to summarise this guesthouse is lovely, romantic and well located. STAY HERE! :-)

good location between bowness and windermere, great for a relaxing break, owner very pleasant and friendly. rooms very cosy with nice four posters and spa baths. would definitely stay again. private car park too.
