I went to the Oasis gig at Heaton Park and we stayed here for two nights. Despite nearly every other hotel/B&B in Manchester or nearby raising their prices for the event, the price remained the same, and very reasonable. The rooms were very clean and well furnished. Every room had a television in and freeview as well. Paul, the gentleman who owned the hotel, was very professional and was always willing to help. He informed us of the best way to get to Heaton Park and even gave us a number of his friend who was a taxi driver should we have struggled to get back. Breakfast was also very nice and varied. I enjoyed my stay here and wouldn't hesitate to come here again in the future.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Ivy whilst attending a nearby conference. I must say that the accomodation at the Ivy was exceptional. An excellent service and freshly cooked breakfast greets you each morning, modern, exceptionally clean rooms, providing all requirements, even down to the hair dryer.Paul is very professional and very cheerful. A great findA great, quiet little B&B with a very friendly host who cooks a mean breakfast. Just a short walk to the Metrolink (tram) station in Eccles, which takes you straight into the centre of town in 30 minutes or so with frequent services at all times of day. Much better than staying in an impersonal chain hotel in the centre, not to mention considerably cheaper. Thanks Paul!

Paul was very friendly and helpful. He met us as we arrived and immediately gave us advice on where to go and how to get there, etc. The breakfast was also very good. 5 minute walk to nearest metro. Only minor criticism is that the room seemed a little rough around the edges but Paul explained that it had recently been converted to an en-suite and was still to be completely finished but that it was the last room to be done. However, we would definitely recommend this accommodation and will be returning in the near future.

Very pleased to have dodged the Premier Inn!I was not best pleased to have missed out on one of the big Hotels when me and my girlfriend were going to Manchested to watch the Take That gig. Fortunately for me they were all taken! The Ivry Mount Guest House was clean, tidy and in a very good location. One of the bigest benefits of staying there was also the price, which was fantastic. Unfortunatly we over slept and missed breakfast so i cant comment on the food. As soon as we got there we were made to feel very welcome by Paul and he gave us advise on the best places to go and routes to follow. I would highly recommend it to any of my friends and would advise you to stay here too.

Friendly and homelyThe Ivy Mount is tucked away in a nicer leafy suburb with public transport a short distance away. I received a warm welcome from the owner Paul. I found him most helpful and keen to share his knowledge of the area. He was obliging in accepting mail for me and in dealing with communications from my family. As a woman alone, I felt safe and comfortable here. Paul and his young family live on the premises.The inclusive breakfast is good and cooked to order. Paul cooks excellent poached eggs.The house is a two star establishment but clean and comfortable. I had originally considered staying at central city hotel but am glad that I had the experience of the suburbs. It suited my purpose very well.Thank you Paul.

Great placeI have recently returned from an overnight stay in Manchester. Initially I had planned to book into a hotel e.g. Premier Inn but when looking on the Late Rooms site I saw Ivy Mount and liked what I could see. I wasn't disappointed. My room was clean and had all the basics required. Paul (the owner) was friendly but discreet and extreemly knowledgable about local eating/drinking places of all varieties. The guest house was easily found just off the M602 and very well situated for my purposes (close to Salford Uni and hospitals). Access to Manchester city centre would have been easy by public transport had I required it - busses and metro lines all within walking distance and Salford Quays and the Trafford centre are all within easy striking distance. I would highly recommend staying at Ivy Mount and would definately use it again if visiting Manchester. Thank you Paul for a very comfortable stay.

My Manchester night out!!Having easily found the Ivy guest house we were warmly welcomed by the owner Paul. He showed us to our rooms which were very modern and very clean. We had 2 double rooms 1 with large screen tv and free view (bonus) the lads all shared a triple room with flat screen tv on the wall and free view this went down vey well with the lads as you can imagine.Paul was very friendly and explained to us where to get the trams into Manchester city centre all about the night life and even fixed us up with a taxi on the night. It costs us around £8.00 to canal street and £10.00 to the Printworks more than affordable. The night life was fantastic with a wonderful atmosphere, there was no trouble from guy's or galls everyone was just out for a good night.All in all my first experience of Manchester was excellent the Ivymount Guest house is idealy situated with well tendered gardens and excellent house keeping for a double room we paid just over £20.00 each and the same each for a triple, highly reccommended and will be visiting again!!!!!!!!!!!!!
