We arrived for my 46th Birthday. Check in was easy. Room was nice, we did gamble and spend quite a lot in Casino. Husband went upstairs and took a bath I followed then took shower, had both worked earlier that day..We are both business owners. TV did not work, first surprise. Husband was asleep and then phone rang were told that shower and tub had leaked, had been previously repaired. We were asked to vacate immediately. Front desk was rude, no concern for our delima, could not find us anything but a smoking room, by now its after midnight. Left stranded in room waiting on front desk. We later that evening checked out due to horrible communication with front desk. No one cared we left, no one offered anything not even a smile. I stay at five star resorts. This is not a recommended hotel...

Rooms were clean. Having to walk into a smoke-filled lobby. I have no complaints about the actual room, but when you walk into this hotel, you are bombarded by the ding-ding-ding of slot machines and cigarette smoke. Not that I didn't know this was a casino, but I didn't expect the casino part of the hotel to be so in-your-face as soon as you enter. Don't understand why they don't have a pool. Before Katrina, all the outdoor pools were the big draw for this hotel (when it was the Grand).

Very nice. Check in quick and easy. Big elevators. Security plentiful. Tastefully decorated. Comfortable bed with soft sheets & down duvet. Plasma tv - great picture. Touch screen phones. Marble top tables. Bathrooms were roomy and clean. The casino - nice, not crowded. The drink servers passed by frequently. Tacky uniforms, good service. Buffet was excellent! Plenty of variety and spread out. We ate at Emerils one night. Service & food excellent, but overpriced for the serving portions. All in all an excellent place to visit. I highly recommend it.

Our room was beautiful and comfortable. We thought the hotel was a resort, non of the expectations were there. The common spaces were not comfortable at all, we were expecting more class. Rooms were great, the appearance outside is beautiful. But as I said the lobby was nasty and not comfortable as the Imperial or other hotels in the area. Parking was awfully, we had to enter at the back of the casino with doors that did not accommodate luggage. Their should be parking specifically for hotel gusts, and then parking for the folks just using the casino. This is no resort, they cater to the people dropping money at the casino. We also came to gamble but the mood was tarnished due to the awfull check in etc. I will never stay their again or recommend it to others.

Beautiful! Check in was quick and easy - a big plus after a long car ride. The large, comfotable beds were a blessing. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We only wish that there had been activities for the younger guest, like some other hotels in the area offer. We would have spent more time in the casino.

I was there for my 21st birthday! I loved everything about the hotel! It was i walk away from the beach! and there was no reason to drive anywhere because food and everything was right there! I would tell anybody to stay here!!

Great place to stay. Currently expanding facility which is only down side at the time.
