I stayed her with my children, and yes the location and the price was great ! But, I was bitten so badly by bed bugs this was reported to the hotel and they were more than happy to move us to another room. Was there i also notice a few days later both my children were also bitten whilst in this new room we had been moved too. again I contacted the hotel to advise them they said they would remove the matress pop it in a black plastic bag and put it in the sun ! What the ? Pleese they old matress need burning and replaced. Beware of rooms 92 & 72 because they bite !

Transportation is very convenience, and is short distance walk to the Surfer Parade. Though it look old but the internal is clean and the staff are friendly.

A clean budget hotel in the center of Surfers Paradise offering a short walk to shops and beaches. Part of this hotel is Back Packers accommodation comprising rooms with multiple occupancy.

The Islander needs updating. There is also no outdoor furniture on the balconies. For the price it wasnt too bad though & the position is perfect.

We really enjoyed our stay at Islander resort and will be recomending for people to stay here in future, even though it is an older resort the bed was very comfortable and even though there were a lot of young ones saying there the room we had was very quiet.

Great position near to beach and all entertainment. Friendly staff we didn't eat there but pricing looked comparable to any other venue. Would certainly recommend it to family and friends and my brother and wife from UK were very happy with all facilities and position to beach etc.and will recommend it too. Thanks Jenny

My daughter and i stayed for a night.As i have stayed here many times before all i can say is come and try out the Islander for yourself.I t is a good central place to stay in Surfers Paradise.Try out their cheap lunch menu,i had the steak,my daughter had the fish,it was delicious.

The location of the hotel is about 5 minutes walk to the beach. Most restaurants are located along the road outside the hotel. These are the advantages of this hotel. However, the hotel was quite old & maybe needs some form of refurbishment though cleanliness was good. The only obvious disadvantage is that the airport door- to-door shuttle services do not stop at the hotel. They only stop or pick-up at the road adjacent to the hotel, I did'nt like it especially the pick-up was at 5AM and the temperature was 10 deg C.

My husband and i have been to the Islander Resort Hotel many times,and on every occasion we have a wonderful time. Try out the wonderful Specials Lunch Menu.Being KENO enthusiasts we absolutely love that you can watch the KENO results on the TV in your on room.

not enough car parking spaces the hotel should do a deal with the public car park next door, so if the hotel car park is full guests can use the car pak next door

The beds are comfy & toilets are clean. But the wooden cabinets need upgrading. I booked 3 rooms and all of them are quite worn out. The location is fabulous cos it's very near the bus stops, supermarkets and restaurants. The only setback is that it can be a bit noisy at night due to the pubs and cafes nearby. However, if I do visit again, I will definitely stay in Islander.
