This hotel and destination were great. I went with my boyfriend in the month of March and we had a great time, good weather. It was great to have a kitchen so we could cook our meals. The service was not the best at any of the restaurants we went to, but I think that is the difference between the US and Bahamas. We stayed in the building across the street, so we were not on the beach. We had a nice quiet balcony that looked into the canal with some boats. I think if we were in the buildings across the street near the beach 1. It would have been too loud because everyone gathered in the courtyard all day/night 2. It would have been too windy. The only bad thing I have to say was that there were some Spring Breakers in the room next to us, and one night they had a rockin party until 11 pm, and a couple nights when they came home from the bars at 2 in the morning they were yelling in the parking lot and woke me up. I don't blame the hotel though, I think the kids should have stayed in a different hotel or been more respectful of others. I would totally recommend this place to my family/friends and would go back there if I had the chance.

I must say I did not expect much when I booked my trip. This all changed the moment I opened the door to my one bedroom suite. It was beautiful. The resort was tranquil and the staff friendly. There is a free shuttle from the hotel to and from the market and they also do guided tours. Jet ski, snorkling, glass bottom boat, luxury yact, jacuzzi/hot tub, car and scooter rental, tennis are all available onsite. All roms are not beachfront but you are never further than across the street. Would recommend getting a car for a day or two to go to other restaurants (gourmet restaurant almost completed onsite) or partying (cabs can be pricy back and forth).

Very good location, right on the beach. We had views of the ocean from the front balcony & the back balcony. The service was great. The room was cleaned every day, bed made, bathroom clean, clean sheets, towels. Even dishes done sometimes. The staff were all very willing to please. Everything for the kitchen was provided (dish washing soap, dishwasher soap), soaps, etc. provided daily for the bath. Concierge was very helpful. Tour booking was easy.We loved the snorkeling at Paradise Cove. The snorkeling on the Catamaran with [...] was bad, the sea was way too rough & the reefs were mostly dead. Paradise Cove had large beautiful coral & extremely beautiful fish. Kayaking there was fun, also. We hired a bell hop to take us on an island tour, he did great showing, us things we would not see on a tour bus. He helped us find conch shells & cleaned them for us. I would not recommend the tour bus. We rented a car & explored on our own. It was great. We found our own private beach & were able to go there several times.Shopping a Lucayan Market is great, the people are so nice & good prices for good products. Free shuttle to & from the Lucayan Market was great. All in all it was a fun time, I recommend it.

We recently stayed at the Island Seas Resort. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The staff was great and ammenities wonderful. I would recommend this location to everyone I know and to anyone I do not know. The resort has fun things to do, you really don't have the even leave the property for much other than shopping. They also offered a free shuttle to Port Lucaya which has a great market place and across the street from the casino. One of the resort employees was more than helpful and informative. It was more than a pleasure to have the opportunity to meet this young man while we were there. All the staff are very friendly, which meant a lot to our total vacation experience. Island Seas Resort was splendid!

The hotel was okay, but when we booked our vacation, we thought we were staying at an ocean-front hotel. The main hotel is ocean-front, but there was no mention of this other section we got stuck in. I probably could have accepted not being in the main hotel, had I been forewarned that this other part of the hotel existed. It wasn't bad, but I was expected to truly be ocean-front. Worse than the location of our room was the fact that we were charged an additional 15 a day hotel tax, EACH. Online travel says there are no hidden fees, but this was sure hidden from me. That was an additional 210 added to our trip which we had already paid in excess of 2K for flight and hotel. When I looked at the fine print for our hotel details at Online travel , I did indeed see that there was going to be this fee. I think Online travel should not have stated when I purchased the trip that this fee included all fees and taxes if that wasn't the case. And perhaps I shouldn't blame the hotel, but it does seem extreme. Why would a room tax be "per person"? This is only my 3rd day here, but I have one more small complaint. Yesterday, I wanted to lounge around the pool but there were no lounge chairs left. I went to get one at the bottom of the steps toward the beach but was told that I could not take a chair up to the pool area. They were exactly the same chairs, but I guess they had a specific allotment for the beach area and the pool area and didn't want to have to walk an additional 5 feet to put them away at night. I'm disappointed.

I work for a company that sends us (a two man team) all over the US, Canada, and the Caribbean. The company typically rents us two bedroom condominiums or apartments, as we spend extended periods in different places, and we need space in which to lay out work. I stayed at the Island Seas Resort for over two weeks recently, and it was beautiful. The two bedroom condo unit was very well equipped, with a nice kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms/two baths. The living room had a flat screen tv with dvd player, and there were granite counter tops throughout. The restaurant had good food, and there is a nice bar. The guest services people were very nice, and they arranged a golf outing and the Bonfire Beach Party for us. We turned our car rental in, then our flight was delayed; the resort picked us back up, and arranged another night of accommodations for us. No hassles, and very accommodating people. I was very surprised at the attitude of some guests to the staff and property. People seemed to go in expecting a snooty hotel with room service, and not understanding how condominiums work. Condominiums are different than hotels, and I don?t think that most people (or travel agents) appreciate that. This is your home for while you are there, so maid service is typically every third day, rather than daily; your privacy is important. You have a kitchen, and you buy groceries ? for example, there won?t be a daily resupply of coffee. The Island Seas had many advantages over condos in other places. For example, I was in Chicago for two weeks prior to the Bahamas; that apartment did not have parking (and we needed a car to move our equipment), and it cost $38 a day just for parking. There was no bar or restaurant. A cab in the city (to go out at night) was more expensive than in the Bahamas. And that condo in Chicago had a higher nightly rate (and taxes!) than the Island Seas. The Island Seas has a nice restaurant and bar on premises, and there is a shuttle to Port Lucaya. The

I really did like this resort, but have been to nicer on the island. I understand that the snippiness can be just the way a person is made up, but we got ""the attitude"" one time too many for my comfort. I really did not appreciate the maid service entering our apartment in the evening just to leave a flyer for the next day's event at the Resort. On several nights, while in the living room talking, we heard a knock on the doorThe door was locked

"The staff is excellent. Everyone was extremely friendly. The rooms were very well polished and so was the surrounding areas. However, they call themselves a resort and there is hardly anything to do. One has to go out of the ""resort"" to have real entertainment; such as disco, water activities, etc... Also, they only have one restaurant on premisys and is outdoor. The pool is right next to the restaurant, and one is not allowed in w/o shirt. Which doesnt make sense to me??? Excellent for families, not for singles"

"We got married at The Island Seas Resort. We stayed there for a total of 2 weeks. It was a truely wonderful, relaxing family vacation. Every single thing went wonderful, people were very helpful. The beach was beautiful, clean and not crowded. The restaurant was great, not expensive for being in a resort. ALL of the employees were wonderful, always smiling and being very pleasant. The rooms were clean, upkept and could not have asked for anything else. Being there 2 weeks was paradise. We just didnt want to leave. Want to and will return for our 5th anniversary."
