This hotel was a nice hotel to stay in. The rooms were quite small, but livable for a holiday. The twin rooms only have single beds. The location was good, with a tram stop outside the door to the centre / ferry, which took only about 5 minutes. Good value for money.

Having just returned from Hong Kong for a weeks vacation, I would like to say my stay at the Island Pacific was great but...The rooms we had were way too small!. The was was very friendly and helpful, and went out of the way to make your stay enjoyable. After arriving at the hotel at 11PM local time after a 16 hour flight, we were assigned room 815, upon entering the room we were in a state of shock to find 2 twin beds in a room no larger then 10' by 10'. The next morning we requested a room change and assigned to Room 1816, which was a bit bigger. about 10' x 14' excluding the bathroom. We grew accustumed to the room. But the staff more then made up for it. Pleasant and helpful The hotel offers a all you can eat breakfast for $140HK doillars or approx. $20 US dollars. It was very nice. This hotel is very easy to get to, 1 block away from the Kennedy Town tramp line and several bus lines including the number 973 bus which goes directly to Stanley Market. This bus is a gtreat way to tour island on the cheap! If you are planning a stay in Hong Kong and don't mind the lack of space then the Island Pacific is ok to stay, but if you need more space then another hotel maybe of more interest to you or a more western style hotel. The fitness equipment needs updating. The outmoted treadmil, eliptical and bike all seem more window dressing then for actual use. The

Best value I've had in HK. Satellite and movies on TV, great view, good bathrooms.

We really enjoyed the Isalnd Pacific and would definitely go back. While it is a little distant from the metro and ferry, the transport to aeverywhere is convenient and cheap - especially the taxis. The rooms are compact but very good and the view to the Peak is mesmerising. The bar makes great cocktails and the breakfast is excellent. Very good value!

If you are in town during the low season then you get value for your money. Location is good if you prefer to stay away from the hustle and bustle downtown Kowloon. Transportation is very convenient. Bed is hard but hey they are good for your posture. Very clean and staff extremely helpful. The entrance is on the lower ground and if there is a severe thunderstorm like the one on June 7, 2008 then you are stuck in the hotel, no way out, because the streets will be flooded, including the only entrance/exit to the hotel. will come back to this hotel again

being Hong Kong there was a smell of smoke in the rooms because of the air conditioning. I requested a non smoking room and it was but thats Hong Kong. I requested a harbour view and the view from the bedroom was fantastic and pickup from the airport etc was great. Food was excellent as was the price.

We had the Full Harbour View room, a little smaller than expected but the view made up for that. Clean bedsheets, prompt service, helpful bellboys. The location is convenient, trams and buses are available right behind the hotel, MTR is a bit of a walk but trams are an easy and inexpensive (HKD2) way to get to the station. It's a quiet area, easily accessible by the public bus outside the airport. The hotel has a counter inside the airport under the banner of 'Sino Group of Hotels'. The gentleman there can organise a cab or direct you to the airport express or the bus station.

Nice clean hotel, near CBD, Ferry to Macau, transportation hubs, etc. Great pricing too. You can't lose.

This hotel is one of my standards in the area. It is a little overpriced for the services and the rooms are quite small. But overall it is a good hotel.

Wonderful location - in a locality full of character rather than bland glass towers. Prompt check-in late night, the conceirge was very helpful with their advice on city sight seeing. Room is tuny, like in most of HK I guess, but manages to cram in all needed facilities - bathroom is of average size, proportionally large compared to the room size

I liked this hotel. The staff in the hotel were really very helpful and on both visits, they upgraded our room without us even asking. The rooms are good, well equipped, good facilities, quiet. The outside pool is really pretty but not heated. The location is good. There's a tram stop just around the corner, taxi's know where the hotel is, it is easy to spot too as there is big yellow writing on the side of it so easy to direct people to. It is easy to get the the central station from there by taxi (10 minutes) and so very easy to get to the airport on the train. I would stay there again for sure.

No doubt that hotel is excellent. However, I was on business trip, so could not explore more about it.

Room was small. Luggage service was excellent. However, took them a long time to review and follow up on my pre-payment.

Very happy with the courteous service from the staff, and general cleanliness and comfort of my 1-week stay. Knowing that the Trams run just outside the hotel made going to the MTR stations and Central/Wan Chai/Causeway Bay so much easier! Just 2 HKD too...

Great deal, felt very welcome and service is very good. Pool is outdoor and not heated, hence only for survival freaks. Gym is quite okay. Great location- local shops, away from shopping madness, yet so close to everything. Restaurants, dry-cleaner, everything you could need right outside! Will stay again.

I found the staff's attitude , knowledge, responsiveness and can do attitude a real stand out for Hong Kong. The only downside was that I had requested a non smoking room (and I did receive one on a non smoking floor) but the room - and all the rooms on that floor - reeked of cigarette smoke.Easy access to most parts of the City this Hotel is great value for the money.
