An elevator services the first three floors of the hotel, and there are both handicap accessible and barrier free handicap rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned.

Other amenities to make your stay more enjoyable include the pool house with hot tub and sauna and two full service restaurants. The Ice House is located next to the pool house it can offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The 1852 Grill provides fine dining in a casually elegant atmosphere overlooking the Straits of Mackinac. Originally built in 1852, the Island House was the first summer hotel on Mackinac Island. As tourism grew, the hotel was moved from the shore and expanded.
