Basically, you get what you pay for. So if you are looking for cheap and don't care about service and the amenities then this is the right place for you.

The over set up is nice. For example, entrance. Lobby pool area close to restaurants and malls. The rooms. Falling apart. Nice hotel appearance.

This property has seen much, much better days. The rooms appear in need of fresh paint, the carpets need to be replaced and the ceiling tiles changed. Our room was 1980ish in appearance, from the overall decor, to the old TV's, to the ancient clock radio and including a mininal amount of furnishings. Overall, stay elsewhere! Please!!

I have stayed here a few times on business. It's OK, the rooms are spacious and the beds are quite decent. Good breakfast. Worst thing is the silly sink arrangement at bed-foot and old carpets. Wifi costs extra.

We went to our God daughters softball tournament. It was a great location. We were close to the fields. The only down fall was they were doing renovations. But if it is to make the hotel a better place then I can deal with it.

It was very comfortable and a prime location for amazing restaurants activities. Springs were falling out of bed. I recommend this hotel to anyone. When I visit Irvine again I know where to stay. This was an exceptional stay.

We booked our hotel through travel website, which claimed the hotel had been renovated in 2004. In fact only a few rooms were renovated and most were run down and in need of repairs. Most of the beds were old with no cushioning, and one of ours had a dirty mattress. The newer double bed we had was comfortable, and we managed to stay. When you prepay, you have no recourse if you don't like the hotel. We also missed a flight due to delays and were charged for that first night even though we didn't arrive until the next day. The staff were eager to please and our breakfast was ok. If you want a cheaper hotel, it would be OK, but I wouldn't stay there again.

The place looked nothing like the pictures. The room smelled like baby diapers. A total and complete disappointment. Could not stay in that disgusting hotel. Then we were charged a cancellation penalty of over 100.00 which I intend to dispute.

My family and I travel to this area frequently. We chose this hotel because of the closeness to the city we needed to be in for my son's baseball game. We needed to get up very early on Saturday. The room next to us was very noisy. I complained to the front desk numorous times, but it was never taken care of. My family and I got less than 2 hours of sleep that night. When I complained to the front desk upon check out, all I was told was "sorry there's nothing we can do." I emailed the manager when I returned home and never received a response. This place has the worst customer service skills I have ever seen.

Breakfast. Night staff spoke English very poorly. Pretty basic. A little hard to find, but the price was right.

The check at the Irvin suites was good except for the fact the staff could barly speak english and were not very helpful, then we got to the room, the furnishings were beat up the tvs didnt realy work well and there was no shower curtin in the shower, also I tried calling the front desk a few times and got no answer.

The room had plenty of space. The customer service was horrible. The hotel staff couldn't get it right! I was put in the wrong kind of room, they would do anything to change or remedy the situation. They also charged me two times for the same reservation. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I reserved 2 non smoking suites for business associates and myself - close to the pool or jacuzzi. Check in is 3pm so we scheduled our dinner for 4:30pm. Upon arrival rooms were not available and we missed our biz dinner and almost our entire concert! (500.) Our check in wasn't til 5pm and the suites were on the 4th floor with maintenance people who smoked recently!(cigarette marks on the toilet seat and cracked window in the bathroom said it all) The manager did not show any concern... i left a detailed letter and followed up with calls - all were ignored. I would not recommend this place for any important stay. The beds were hard and the room smelled. Staff upon check in needed assistance in how to run the desk and to communicate in the same language as the guests. My visit was not a good one and the management could care less.

After initial frustration with wrong room, had a pleasant stay. The room was not what we reserved. Overall we had an average experience, although the complementary cook to order breakfast was outstanding.

The suite were nice with a sliding door between the rooms. The bed was comfortable and the sleeping sofa was OK. The pool was nice. The upkeep on the property was poor. One elevator was totally out of service and the other was down for part of a day. In one room the air conditioning did not work. The hot breakfast was adequate but nothing special. o problem was that the sink was in the main bed room not the bathroom.

Clean, quiet. Bed was as hard as a rock! I hope my statement will reflect this correction.

Location to pageant of the masters. The hotel was under reconstruction. The hotel was most accommodating. Room cleaning was slow so we excused the floor being vacuumed. We had come to visit with our California friends and go to the festival of the arts at Laguna beach. It was perfect for our purpose. There were fine restaurants within walking distance. We would recommend it and would stay again.

We had a microwave and refrigerator and also a vanity. One of the elevators was broken. I was pleased with the hotel except the fact that the elevator that we needed was out of service and our room was literally the farthest room possible from the operating elevator which made is difficult to lug our luggage. All in all though it was fine.
Date of Stay:

Size of the suite, good for families w/kids. Vanity sinks in the bedroom area. Nice staff, breakfast adequate, pool furniture old and worn, pool clean. Room fringe needed defrosting. Good access to the freeway and some local restaurants.

October, 2006
Nothing. Crappy service. No ironing board, finally got them to bring one, IT WAS A DESKTOP MODEL! Iron was broken. Waited for another.
