I booked my room at the Inverrary because it is on the Inverrary Golf Coarse and only a few miles from the beach. However, I read the reviews while I was in the airport awaiting my flight. Based on the reviews, I put another hotel on standby because I didn't want to stay at such a seemingly (from the reviews) low quality resort--but I decided to give it a chance. I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. I walked in to a very large open lobby that was nicely kept and was greeted by a very friendly clerk who gave me 3 coupons for free drinks at the lounge (a great way to welcome me to their resort). When I went to my room on the 8th floor, the elevator opened to a very nicely carpeted hallway that did NOT smell like mold--but rather a very pervasive and yet pleasant aroma. I assume that they had something in the air ducts to keep the air pleasantly fresh. I braced myself as I opened the door to my room, expecting to see the moldy carpets that were described in the reviews--NOT. I was instead greeted by all wooden floors and nice spacious room with a couch, king bed, large TV hidden in a cabinet and that pleasant aroma. Overall the room was very nice. The food from the restaurants was excellent and service excellent. They have a Starbucks and a nice Pro Shop also. I treated myself to an increadible Hot Stone Massage at the Spa in the evening and really felt relaxed and enjoyed myself overall. It appears that they have reacted positively to the negative reviews and done EXTENSIVE rennovations. This was not the same hotel I read about in the negative reviews. It was very nice. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Was close to attractions like Saw grass Mills Mall. The internet service was shitty and you had to pay a resort fee. The hotel was OK, they are renovating the hotel currently. The room came with a small kitchenette which was cool. The internet service was not really reliable, it constantly went in and out. Close to eateries and Saw grass Mills Mall. warning, you have to pay a $15 per day resort fee, which makes this hotel not a real deal. The bed was a bit on the hard side as well.

This is a terrible hotel. Old, run down, and worst of all in a very bad part of town. I had no hot water for the three terrifying days I stayed at this hotel. TV did not work properly. Alarm clock did not work. Police racing by constantly. Gangsters roaming the parking lot and no visible security except for a Ft Lauderhill police car parked in front of it with no officer in sight. I was in town for business and based on the online travel agency maps of the hotel location it appeared it would be easily accessible to Florida turnpike or I-95. It is not. Very difficult to reach both highways from this hotel and it is extremely hard to find in the first place.

Within the first 2 minutes of checking in at the front desk, I was told to remove our GPS because theifs like to break in and steal them. So, I told my husband and we did remove our GPS and anything else that was of value from our minivan. The horror of our stay began the very next morning, 12 hours after we arrived in Fort Lauderdale, we were awaken by staff that our minivan was broken into! Me and my husband ran out to the parking lot to find the driver's side window totally broken out and glass everywhere and our XM radio receiver which was permanently installed was ripped out and stolen, they viciously tore out the paneling around the entire stereo and destroyed our stereo and left it, just to get to the XM receiver. I was surprised that they did not take the over 20 DVD's I had in the minivan because they were worth more together than our stupid XM receiver. We drove 19 hrs. from Michigan to Ft. Lauderdale for my brother-in-laws wedding with our 3 kids. No staff at the hotel from managers on down offered any sympathy or support or our money back. Needless to say, we were not the only people who had their vehicles vandalized and things stolen. The night before we left 4 cars in the parking lot were broken into!! From the police officer to the clerk in Circuit City, my husband ran into a dozen of Fort Lauderdale citizens who hated living there and wanted to leave because of all the break-ins and theivery that seems to be looked at as normal. We joyfully left the hotel and the Ft. Lauderdale area and we will never be back and are telling everyone we can to STAY AWAY!

my overall experience at this hotel was a little better than i expected from previous reviews. the cleaning ladies were on time every morning at the same time check in was less than 5 mins. there is a tiki bar right next to the pool which u get a complimentary drink at check in. there is a restaurant in the hotel which is great for family dining, was not that busy in there had to wait about ten mins for a bagel with creamcheese but it hit the spot. there is a golf course across the street basketball and tennis courts on site. the only bad thing was the ice machine on our floor was broke. dennys right down the block along with walmart walgreens applebees wendys not to far a great japanese buffet which was worth 15 dollars. great area to stay i would def go again.

when we first arrived the staff at the front desk warned us not to leave anything like a mobile GPS system in our car because it would likley be stolen.. So we never felt safe during our stay.. Many things needed to be repaired such as, our telephone did not work (took three days and two request to fix it), our TV could not get all the channels.. Never did get it fixed, the vending machines did not work, we almost got stuck on the evalator becasue the doors would not properly open.. On occassion it would go from the 1st to the 7th floor and would not stop in between if you wanted it to.. There are signs posted everywhere about back taxes... The place at night is very noisey... The pictures they show you of the resort look great but you're not seeing the entire picture.. This place is in dire need of fixing and replacing many items.. I've only listed a few...

The hotel stay was nice. We liked the view from our room. The only complain we have is of the country club. We were guests at a wedding reception at the country club on 4/17/09. In the room next to ours there was a party with young kids attending that all looked like thugs. While we were exiting there were shots fired. We were all scared, we didn't expect to experience that when the party was booked in a nice resort. Felt bad for bride and groom because their wedding night was ruined.

Bed was pretty comfortable. No coffee available in lobby. Charged resort fee which amounted to additional 30%. I was forced to pay or lose the money already paid. Bathroom tub slippery (non slip worn from tub). Toilet flushing required going under tank lid 50% of time to get it to work, grout needed a good cleaning (particularly floor grout). TV picture and sound got fuzzy on and off both night but not so bad as to prevent one from watching. Main room nice, bed comfy.

We are a 67 year old female and a pregnant 23 year old female. At checkin, we were informed that there was an additional $15 per day RESORT FEE which we were not aware of, in addition to the prepaid fees we had already submitted. There was no Bell Staff to assist in getting our luggage to our room. The room was stifling hot on arrival. There was no microwave or refrigerator. The telephone didn't work. We hung the room service menu on the outside of the door as indicated for an early breakfast, but the menu was never picked up. There wasn't even a plastic bag for dirty clothing, and no guest laundry facilities. While walking around the room in our stocking feet, we were accumulating long black hair on our socks, which led us to believe that the room hadn't been very well cleaned. After visiting the "business center" where we were to print our travel documents, we were informed that the printers had been disconnected, due to some sort of malfunction. At this point, I nearly 'lost it', so they finally decided that they could pull up our travel documents online at the check-in desk, and did manage to get them printed for us. I'm trying really hard to find something positive to say about our stay, but it is difficult at best. Needless to say, we would never consider staying there again.

Everyone was very friendly, I also liked the availability of computers with access to the internet. I was very pleased with my stay at the Inverrary Resort. It is situated in a nice neighborhood, everyone is friendly and I always had clean, fresh towels. I was also pleased to see that they were remodeling the interior appearance of the hotel.

From the first day we checked in things went downhill. The ice machine and soda machine on our floor were not working and never were fixed during our stay. We filled out the "room service" door hang tag for breakfast so we could save time in the morning and it was never picked up. After we discovered it still hanging on the door and calling in our order using the menu in our room, our order arrived in good time but the bill was about 35% more than the prices on our menu, not including the 20% tip, which was expected. When we showed the waiter our menu we were told is was an old menu and no longer in effect. She had to check with her manager, but did correct the amount but we didn't get the juice and coffee that was supposed to be included. That night at about 11:30 some very noisy guests checked into the room next door and we had to complain (to no avail)about doors slamming and loud talking in the hall after midnight, probably made worse by the 1" gap under our door and to top that off we never got our wake-up call we had requested for the next morning. The second day we returned to our room after a 10 hour workday to a room that hadn't been touched since we left in the morning, no clean towels and beds still unmade. In addition to these problems we were charged $15.00 a day for "amentites" but when we asked for a listing of what amenities were available there wasn't any listing available. When we asked what "amenities" this fee covered, we were told it was for the coffee in the rooms, a free newspaper, use of the fitness center and pool. These things are normally included in the price of the room! There was supposed to be a spa but no indication of what hours and services were available. There wasn't any guide in our room of hotel services, a directory or map showing the location of anything. We asked to speak to the manager but none was ever available and even after all these disappointments and complaints to the hotel staff we were given no offer of adjustment t

This was a short weeend break so that we could kick back and relax, we were glad that it was only two nights, we would not have stayed more. The hotel has seen better days and the decor is both dated and worn. On the plus side the no smoking policy meant that the hotel smelt fresh. However, the minuses far outweighed this and included Mildew around the bath, toilet seat did not fit the bowl (decidedly dodgy for an adult sized person), some of the staff are sullen, most noted in the bar, and unhelpful at reception where I could not even arrange for a letter to be posted, ameneties were not available as advertised (beauty parlour, spa)which was a big dissapointment for my daughter and were part of the reason we chose this resort We will not be back and find it hard to recommend
