Offering a warm and friendly welcome, Invergarry sits midway between Windermere and Bowness and is ideally placed for exploring the Lakes and Fells. Lake Windermere is just a few minutes walk down the hill. Close by there are Steam Railways, Museums, the Beatrix Potter Attraction, the story of Donald Campbell, and much more. Fancy a round of golf? Windermere Golf Course is just a short drive away. In Windermere and Bowness on Windermere there are plenty of hotels, restaurants and pubs offering a wide variety of cuisine to suit all tastes. If you want to go further afield we will be able to direct you to some very cosy olde worlde hostelries and quaint villages. Our Little Walk Books, which direct you from the front door, will take you to some fabulous view points; for example, Post Knott and Orrest Head where on a clear day you can see almost the full length of Lake Windermere and the distant Fells. Our walks range from 2 miles to 6 miles. We are close to all public transport services and along with limited private parking there is unrestricted parking on the road immediately to the front of the guest house. Breakfast is served in the Dining Room from 8am to 9.15am and includes a choice of cereals and fruit followed by a traditional grilled breakfast. For a lighter option we offer cheese or mushroom omelette, poached or scrambled eggs on toast or continental. Smoked Haddock and poached eggs are a favourite with some of our regular guests, or as a treat why not try our porridge with a splash of Baileys? Invergarry is a Traditional Lakeland guest house offering old fashioned hospitality. Situated mid way between Windermere and Bowness on Windermere, we are an ideal base for exploring the Lakes and Fells of the National Park with Lake Windermere a few minutes walk down the hill. The Invergarry isexactly as a Guest House should be. Geoff and Mu are very welcoming and cannot do enough to help out. The house is spotless and it would be difficult to get a nicer breakfast anywhere. Very highly recommended.

Geoff and Mu were charming hosts. The room was not particularly large but met our needs. (Who spends much time in your room when in the Lakes?) Being in between Bowness and Windemere, the location is convenient for walking to both towns but avoids the traffic and hordes.

The Invergarry is a lovely guest house and was easy to find. Its 10 min walk up to Winderemere and 10 min down to Bowness water front where their is plent going on. The owners of the Invergarry are very friendly,the breakfasts are top class and the rooms are spotlessly clean and fresh.

This is a very good family-run hotel ; both the landlord and landlady are very friendly, warm-hearted, and considerate, which has left an ever-lasting goog memory upon my mind. I' like very much to stay at Invergarry Guesthouse again, and will recommend this hotel to my friends.

I have stayed in alot of b&b's and to be honest I think that this is the best I have ever stayed in. Geoff and Mu were brilliant hosts, nothing was too much trouble. It was a fantastic stay, food was brilliant, location was very convenient to both Winderemere and Bowness and the service was second to none. I had my mother with me and she loved the place, it really added to her enjoyment of the Lakes District. When I return to the Lakes, I would definately stay at the Invergarry Guest House again.
