Review of Interlaken hotel /NiceWe received a warm welcome on arrival, but no lift or staff servive and had to walk up the stairs with our cases. The room was clean and clean linen, but very basic, although it had been recently painted and looked up dated from photograph. It was quiet crude and actually not refurbished as suggested. Only painted over the existing wood chip paperand a minimal budget on decor. We didn't feel very safe in our room and we felt nervous about leaving window open at night and door lock. I didn't sleep well as i felt very vulnerable. The area in locality out side Hotel was dodgy ! lots of youths hanging on street corners. We got lost walking from the station to the Hotel, as we left the station from the wrong exit. I would recommend that client's were clear of the vacinity of hotel in relation to the station before leaving. I felt it was very expensive for what it offfered compared to the ETAP or similar Hotels in the vacinity. I wouldn't recommend it to friend's.

hotel is a fair walk from the beach but close to the train station. I would not reccommend this for families as there is a strip club underneath the hotel and a sex shop just down the road. also no air conditioning in the room. the rooms are brightly coloured and clean however the area is very noisy and the hotel does not have a lift which is unfortunate if you are staying on the 3rd floor. the staff were friendly howver they did not speak very good english.

Slightly noisy at night as right in the city by the train station.We had ensuite shower, sink and use ashard toilet. This was not good and not cleaned during our 5 day stay

We stayed at this "hotel" for one night and that was one night too many! The receptionist was reeked of galic, seemed unable to crack a smile and did not speak a word of English. He was on the phone for hours, speaking loudly, which was unfortunate for us who were trying to sleep in the room just behind the reception. The hotel is situated right next to the train station in a very shabby area - there was a lot of shouting and screaming going on in the streets during the night. If you have to stay here, for goodness sake bring some good quality earplugs!
