Classy hotel that was still kid friendly. Great location in downtown Merida near many shops and restaurants and all the car rental agencies. Staff was great. My 6 year old daughter thought it was awesome.

A gem! Located about 10 blocks from the Grand Plaza in a cluster of other hotels to include Hyatt, Holiday Inn and Americana. The building was once an old hacienda completly gutted and transformed to a delux property with most congenial stall ready to serve, plus excellent dinning, gift shop, lounge, and pool. The magnificant room with marbel floor, large bathroom and central air conditioning, large-screen TV. A gem.

This is my first trip to Merida in a few years, I was used to the semi-tired hotels in the city, I tried the Intercontinental and was blown away by the service, huge rooms and free wireless internet everywhere including rooms. A must go hotel when in the area.

We were very pleased with our stay at the InterContinental Presidente Merida Villa Mercedes in Merida. Upon arrival we were greeted in a friendly manner, the staff spoke excellent English and upgraded our room at no additional cost. The room was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable and the room provided excellent sound proofing. The location was within walking distance to some tourist places and there were alway available taxis at a reasonable price to take you to your choice of other destinations.

The beds were very comfortable. The pool wasn't heated, no restaurants nearby. We enjoyed our stay here. It was great to come back to at the end of the day!

The Presidente Hotel was a top notch hotel. The rooms were very spacious with a large bathroom that also acommedated anyone with handicap difficulties. The beds were very comfortable with large closets with an iron plus ironing board as well. The service was outstanding and the pool area was luxirous. The dining area could be rated as a 4 star resturant with a large and excellent breakfast buffet. The location was a bit far from the center of town but one could easily get a taxi or take the bus which pass by every 10 to 15 minutes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to expirence a luxury hotel.
