Excellent location, beautiful hotel, ample parking. Friendly staff. Not one thing. The design this hotel hits you as soon as you walk in. Staff is attentive. Beds are very comfortable. Covered attached parking is great. Pool on the 9th floor!

The room was very well maintained, very clean and the bed was wonderful. We stay in a lot of hotels and this had one of the best beds, pillows and linens (crisp, high thread count sheets) that we have stayed in. The room is well insulated so you have very few sound intrusions. The parking garage is convenient and free of charge. The LCD tv has mainly hi definition channels. Breakfast was not very good for the money (not much to chose from, scrambled eggs were runny, milk was warm). We had dinner in the Shula's Steakhouse in the lobby which we were looking forward to since it is supposed to be one of the top 10 steakhouses in the country. We asked at breakfast for a 7:00 PM reservation but when we went downstairs at 7:00 were told our reservation was for 7:15 (even though no one had called us to tell us the time was different). They said they could not seat us until 7:15 even though there were several empty tables. Once we were seated we waited 25 minutes to place our one course dinner order. It took another 45 minutes to receive our meal. Two of the four sides were ice cold (the holandaise sauce that I did not order with my brocolli came out with the a congealed layer on top of it since it had been sitting somewhere else for a while). My husband's steak was not cooked correctly, he sent it back only to wait 10 minutes for it to come back a second time still too rare for his taste but he kept it so that he could finally eat. The hotel is wonderful just go to one of the restaurants across the street.

This hotel was absolutely beautifull, its value for the money was incredible. Staff was very friendly and pollite. The room was incredible, LCD tv's, bed was so comfortable... not anything else could be asked for.

Wonderful hotel very near to the airport. The only problem we had with noise was that there were drunks out in the hall on a Friday night. I slept great on the bed but my husband didn't so great. It is a pretty firm bed. Wonderful decor. We did get a movie through the hotel on the tv. But I have hearing impairment & was not able to get the subtitles to work. We got the movie charge taken off our bill without a problem. Very close to the airport! Awesome mall right across the street and beach is about a 25 minute drive to Clearwater area.

Convenient location to Tampa airport, malls and restaurants, room quality and decor; free parking. On very busy streets; somewhat lengthy walk from garage to room. This is an excellent value for the quality: great location for air travelers heading north or west; near to decent restaurants, upscale malls; fine room in its decor, amenities; great mattress and bedding; quick service from front desk.

Loved everything just if you can talk to someone at the desk. See if you can get a room that does not face an office. The configuration of the side of the hotel we stayed on had our window open up to the open glass side of a enclosed office building. 300 yards from our room. So if you want to put on a show you will have an audience. Wink. All I am saying is you feel inclined to keep the blinds closed.

My mother and I came for a weekend trip to visit my brother in the area. The hotel was very nice. The service was great. The rooms were kept very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would definetely stay again.

dont know if i would stay again. the room was very nice and comfortable for the most part...a little small, but ok. i upgraded to a room with a view of the bay, however, i got a room with a view of the top of the parking garage, and then the bay off in the far distance. apparently there was construction going on that no one told us about so throughout the day and into the night, you could here the machines going full blast. the worst part is that they put us in a room at the very far end of the hallway, right near the houskeeping quarters, so as you can imagine everymorning around 7 or so, you could hear people laughing, talking and carrying on right outside our room. the last night we were there our tv did not work so we called down to the guest services at about 6 pm or so, and by the time we checked out the next morning no one had yet come to check on the tv. not sure i would stay again, not enough good to go with the bad. i will say this though...the room was very comfortable and clean!! thanks.

The hotel is very nice. I was told that the hotel was walking distance to the beach. It is not! It is near water but no one swims there! The hotel is definitely more for business travelers. It is close to the airport. There are tons of stores nearby. The hotel was clean but I found that the shower/bath fixtures were not very durable. The water was difficult to turn on at times and I feared I would break the knob at times. The pool on the roof was nice but small and not very heated as was advertised by the front desk staff (it's still cold at night in May there). The parking garage provides safe/free parking. The food was pretty good from the restaraunt downstairs--they were accomodating when we wanted just a grilled cheese. One morning we slept in, we got knocks on our door 3 times that morning despite asking that they come back. Cleaning staff were friendly though.

Our stay started out nice on July 4th. They than gave us on the July 5th a room on the top floor. The room was qute warm and then we noticed toe nail clippings on two different locations of the rug. called guest services and the manager came up stairs to show us another room on the 9th floor.He helped carry our belongings to room 903. Room was great except for the sink ( you could not use the plug it would get stuck.)So we did,nt use it and we did,nt complain. Then they had a bad leak in hall a few doors down from our room and the worked to dry it up which took days and smelled meldewy which bothered my asthma, But I was O.K. in my room. Until they cleaned the carpet in the hall and in our room when we left for the day with out our knowledge,Upon returning i had an asthma attack because of the chemicals they used in our room. I am not making any of this up!Other than that the car was great.

Modern look and bathroom was awesome. Parking was not very convenient. Would definitely stay in again. Hotel is beautiful but not really conducive to having young children running around. More upscale.

The hotel experience was a great one! I just recommend that you choose the hotel if you are on a business trip. The reason behind it is because it is located in a business building with all types on different businesses. My room was actually located in front of the hotel where I could see the mall and the traffic. When the sun set then I was actually able to see the offices that were across from the room.....but overall I enjoyed the comfort of the hotel, it's amenities and Shula's Steak house which is located inside of the hotel! Talk about easy access! ENJOY ;-)

Everything about our stay at the Intercontinental Tampa was 5 star! The personnel were exceptional; accomodating & well mannered. The hotel is just gorgeous~ we especially loved the round glass elevators & the large, lavishly furnished lobby. It is interestingly designed & the fountains & large indoor courtyards off either side of the lobby were stunningly beautiful! The bar & restaurant were both wonderful. The rooms are furnished with lovely modern pieces and the high beds & glass tiled bathrooms make you feel like royalty. We literally did not want to leave!

Very contemporary and stylish. Bad service in lobby bar. Took a long time to check in and out of the hotel. They need some extra help at the front desk. The lobby bar was very slow and had three bartenders/servers on staff and it took 15 minutes before anyone came to our table to greet us. The room was very nice, but the walls were very thin. Nice and clean and very upscale.

Stayed for a 3 day weekend getaway. Hotel is beautiful, easy to find and access. Agree with other guest about the "fridge" and a very complicated coffee maker. Poor chanel selection on the TV. Also, beware of getting a room close to the elevator. Our room was right across from the elevator, which was very noisy and ran from 10 pm until 5 am in the morning. No big deal, but we never got our wakeup calls, either.

I was there for one night and it was a great hotel. If you need anything they will bring it to your room right away. The only thing that you should be aware of is that they will "hold" $75 on your credit/debit card for "incidentals" when you check in. Otherwise, it was great. Free, garaged parking and the food in the restaraunt is great.
